I got my new gizmo...
took it for a test run this morning.

Seems pretty straightforward.
BUT, I resorted to actually reading the durn directions book!
That just hurts. lol

Supposedly, I can set the thing to beep at me at intervals, or distances, or HR settings.....Haven't quite got that part figured out yet.

At least I can get my HR pace and distances out of it now, though.

polar 200sd
my first HRM with a footpod thingy.

They hyped the "new" chest strap as being more comfortable....and, it really was. Except, I think I might have tightened it a wee bit too much....I had indentations all the way around my chest! lol

However, I must confess......
That, it took me an extra 20 minutes to get out the door today, because I had to look for the extra batteries that I keep in the house because the one that "came with" wasn't working! Fargin' cheapo battery!!!

Uhhhh.....
not quite.

Really, I just had to take the shrink wrap plastic off the one that "came with" then it worked just fine!

Fargin' shrink wrap plastic at 6 am! (*sheesh*)

Yeah, I was like that last year when I got my new mp3 player. The first couple of runs I had to stop to fiddle with it and figure out basic stuff like adjusting the volume and changing songs. I'm plenty good at it now and don't need to stop.

BTW, the Sansa Rhapsody is the ultimate runner who likes music's gift. Since it's subscription I can just download whatever I am in the mood for that day and take it out for a run. I could never go pay-per-track. I don't know how you iPod'ers do it.

I bit torrent everything.

Keep with it Stitch, the more you get used to the gadgets the more they can help you train. I have my entire FIRST marathon plan plugged into the garmin and now all I have to do is hit "do todays workout" and then go run, intervals tempo, whatever it is. Did you get the Polar software to track everything. Another great tool.
