FUN: Monday's are better when you call in sick.

<p><span><span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:small;">I don't even know what to say. Yesterday was so much fun. I got up there at 1030 and he met me in the driveway and gave me a hug. He gave me a mini tour of the house and then we went out on a hike around his property. When we got back we took the 4-wheeler out and he let me drive but when we got into the swampy part I made him drive. We got back to his house and got some water and then took the 4-wheeler out again and went THRU St. Cloud... yes THRU on a 4-wheeler and wen't down this trail and to this cool little duck pond. We walked around there for a while and hiked on some of the trails in the back. After that we went back to his house and were looking at pictures of what he does at his job and then some family pictures. Then we went for a drive and saw where his parents live and where they are moving to. After we got back <em>again</em> we made dinner and took another little walk and then it was time for me to leave. I'm going over there again next weekend and I can't wait!</span></span></p>

<p>Lots of tired people around these parts this weekend and today so far, huh? Add me to the list. Lots of asshattery from my brother and SIL this weekend exhausted me. I think I need to not talk to or be around them for a while. They made my poor dad so upset he literally was sick all weekend and missed the Eagles and phillies game. I want to confront them but they have really special ways of playing the victim and I really think it will do no good so maybe putting some distance there will be best. </p>

<p>On to better stufff. <strong>Wippy</strong> so excited for you! Sounds like an amazing day.</p>

<p>I posted this over the weekend but...my friend just found out the results of her CT scan show she is now cancer free, so happy for her! And another friend completed the 3day breast cancer walk yesterday, I looked at her pics today and they were so moving! She is a cancer survivor and has some long term medical issues from her chemo so this was a major accomplishment for her. So proud!!</p>

<p>I. Am. Exhausted. The reunion was actually pretty fun. More so than I expected. We had a couple of party crashers that made things interesting, if not annoying for a lot of the females. One of the crashers, known only as Drunk guy #2, was a bit touch-feely with the girls and didn't want to take no for an answer. I was rather assertive when he made one attempt on me, and even more so when he wasn't respecting a friend's "thanks but no thanks" response, as she looked very uncomfortable with his advances. Call me Den Momma, protecting her cubs, I guess!</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The Gold rush festival was pretty much the same as in previous years, though more dog-friendly than I recall from years past. If you're interested, here's a slideshow of stuff I saw either at the festival, or around my run on Sunday morning.</p>

<p>I'm downloading over 250 images from the photo shoot this morning. From what I can tell from the thumbnails, I like the ones where I'm laughing at Liz or the ridiculousness of the situation the best. Had a whole bunch of stuff I wanted to get done today, but my schedule kind of got blown by early lunch downtown with coworkers from HF, and then a check up with doc about my hips this afternoon on the other end of town. Not really enough time before or between to get into the messy stuff I need to get into, and then get cleaned up again. </p>

Usually you guys just see it all wrapped into my signature braided pigtails in running photos. <img alt="smile.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies//smile.gif"> I have recently contemplated doing the locks-for-love thing when the hair is due for a trim, but it takes forever for me to grow it back, (Locks for love would take 10 inches) so I'm still on the fence on that one.</p>

Pretty good, though I expect it to get even better when this cast comes off and I have the balance and mobility to do more. Love the peace and quiet but the amount of debris (rotting wood, tree limbs, rhody branches, etc.) on site is overwhelming. We could have bonfires every weekend for a long while. I bought an <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325&tag=kickrunners-20&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FBlack-Decker-LP1000-Alligator-Electric%2Fdp%2FB000BANMUY" rel="norewrite" target="_blank">Alligator Lopper </a> and that has helped greatly. </p>
