5 miles ez this morning for me. Mowed about an hour at the church. Lunch scheduled with DW.

Looks like our tropical storm is going to hit far enough from us that we may or may not get any rain. Now prediciting .75" in some areas to none in others. such is life. We will continue to fry down here for another couple months. jtwili.

Hi KS!

Too bad about the rain.

Not sure if I'm going to work out today or not, as DH is clamoring to go see "Cowboys vs Aliens" tonight and will be expecting me not to dawdle getting out of the office. Either way, it's rest day from running. Am trying to decide where to do my LR tomorrow.... join the beer drinking group again, or wander off solo? Decisions, decisions.

Long weekend for some of us Canucks..... Aug Civic holiday weekend, so short week next week. Promises to be hot and gorgeous (the weather, not me!)

Have a good one, everybody!

Oh Heme; you are hot and gorgeous.

DW put me to work after lunch. Dang!

DW is also finally going for MRI's on her shin next Wednesday. I wanted her to do it much earlier in this injury cycle but what do I know?

Forgot we have 9 p.m. fun run tonight. So I can pick up some miles and not feel too badly about cutting it short this morning.

Heme - what ks said.

That's a shame about the lack of rain, ks. But we're entering the season for it now, yes?

18 moh this morning to work. Was a bit of a struggle in the final 3 miles and last two big hills. I was a little dehydrated and the weather was so humid. 8:36 avg pace, but got 'er done.

Now I'm waiting for DW to pick me up and treat me to dinner somewhere.

Sunday morning we leave for the Cape, making a beeline to the Beachcomber for lunch. Beer and clams high on a dune overlooking the Atlantic, yesiree that's the ticket!

John, there is something not right about the preacher man mowing the church lawns too.

.. since I generally go to bed about 10 p.m. these days, a "fun" run at 9:00 p.m. doesn't quite equate my mind?? But you are a wild and crazy guy, so I know you'll have a good time!

Heme - hot and gorgeous you are. hot and gorgeous I strive to be. Enjoy your long weekend!

Mike - ahhh, beer and clams sounds great! Enjoy the time away! nice job on your run this morning. 18 miles to work? in humidity no less . . . i'm assuming you must have shower facilities at your work.

hot weekend here in So_Oregon. But we'll keep it cool with some trips to the river both days. and it's Back to the 50's weekend and downtown is just buzzing with activity. My office is right in the heart of downtown (the small town that it is) and I can hear all the activity from way up here on the 4th floor (yes, this is the tallest building in Grants Pass and I'm on the top floor!)

ooo, here's a live street cam situated on my building. You can probably spot some classic cars driving by once inawhile - moreso tonight when alot of them will be parked downtown for folks to come look at. and of course tomorrow night during the cruise:

this one is kind of fun too. it's the webcam on the river. too bad it's not just a bit farther down the river because then you could see where the jetboats take off from. But from this view you can sometimes see some kayakers or rafters floating by.

KS....

Wasn't really trolling there...honest. And yes, Tammy, you are definitely hot and gorgeous, too!

I must have been reacting to the hawt cyclist buddy who decided to drop by my office today to yak.... a real Daniel Craig look-alike (sigh!)....... or more likely I was just having a hot flash.... yea, that was probably it.

Speaking of Daniel Craig, DH and I just got back from watching Cowboys and Aliens. Not exactly a complex plot, but it was entertaining and worth spending the bucks to see it on the big screen.

Have a great time at the Beachcomber, Mike! Those belly clams were terrific! Excellent run!
