Morning, Kath!

I swam a mile last night at the OWS session. I'm psyched about how it went. Water was still cold -- about 64* -- but it was comfortable. Ended up with a mile, with the last 2/3 mi without stopping. I feel pretty good about how it went And except for the craigslist jack*ss being there, it was a good night.

Got up early this morning and got just shy of 6 miles run before work.

Good luck, weekend racers!

Nice workouts, guys!

Missy, you're doing a HM in Morristown NJ this weekend? That's really close to me! I didn't even know there was a race there. I've got half a mind to look into this... but I think I need to keep taking it easy for a little while longer...

Along those lines, I was EXHAUSTED last night. I don't know why. Starting at about 8:00pm, I just couldn't keep my eyes open. So I basically slept from 8pm straight thru to 6am this morning. My thoery is that I'm still recovering from the 50k a few weeks ago. But who knows. Anyway, I didn't do any kind of workout yesterday, but I'll run a few easy miles tonight...

This is what happens when you don't want to stop running and, therefore, you're late to work and without coffee intake by the time you get there. Sorry for the repetitive info. Annoying! :)

Bob - any time one of our guys mentions feeling run down or super exhausted, etc., I get nervous. (thinking of voo.) Let your body rest. If you're so inclined to go to the HM, take a big ol' sign and cheer for missy!

Greetings, all.

5M on the hamster wheel last night. I've been feeling like I have some seriously taxed legs lately, but I already feel like I've not been getting enough miles in over the past 4 weeks or so. Hmph. Sort of a catch 22 there. Bi/Tri work has been completed for today, with abs/core/butt/thigh work on tap for later.

Tomorrow (assuming thunderstorms don't cancel it) I'll be doing the Warrior Dash. I keep thinking that surely it can't be nearly as hard as the Spartan race from two weeks ago. (Gosh I hope not.. that was brutal. in a good way of course, but brutal!)

Good luck to Missybabe and any others in races this weekend!

Good morning all! A little dreary out there today but no rain, yet. Met up with 2 of my regular bridge route running partners and got an ez 6.8 miles in this morning. I'm running the Healthy Kidney 10K in CP tomorrow morning, will be a check-in to see where I'm at fitness-wise.

Good luck Missy, Ailarie, KP and don't we have someone else racing... ? Colleen maybe?

Go Racers go!!

I had a completely suxtastic run this morning, that ended up being a lot more walking than I wanted and a mile less than planned because I ran out of time. But, it's done, logged, and now I need to focus on hydration for tomorrow.

Really? I picked 77 degrees and 70 percent humidity as my first official get-it-in non-race run in a couple months (traversing the San Francisco hills like I've been doing doesn't count)? Well, count it in the books - 4.5 not terribly great feeling miles in the nabe here. Now I get to go back outside to walk to the store grab some eggs and other assorted items for mealtime

Good luck to all our racers (Missy, KP, Colleen, Maria, Amy and anyone else who may be toeing the line tomorrow)!

I ran this morning before court. I intended to run 3 but ended up with 2.75 because I had to stop and adjust my shoelaces three times! And I just didn't have enough time to get that last 1/4 mile in and still make it on time to court - looking presentable. First the left shoe was too tight so I loosened the laces, then the right felt too tight so I loosened that and then the right was still too tight so I stopped again. Annoying. But when my shoes are too tight it hurts my feet and then starts to affect more than my feet. I'm SENSITIVE!! It was nice and cool out there, maybe a little windy. Just felt good to be out there.

I didn't run this morning, I slept in instead. Well, if you can call it sleeping in. Now I feel guilty. I wonder if my sister will watch the girls for me so I can get a run in after work (DH is working til 11 PM).

Good luck this weekend, Missy, Ailarie, KP, Amy, Maria! You guys'll rock it, I just know!

I might be doing a 5k or 10k race this weekend. Haven't decided yet. It's on sunday, which is the same day as one of Lena's little daycare friend's birthday party. She may not realize she's missing it, but she may. We'll see how things go, I guess. The running group is doing Kelly's Mountain that day, too, so I might just do that as a training run for the relay at the end of the month.

Ahh, okay...I read your hydration comment and figured the race was just around the corner for you

In that case, happy hydrating to you this weekend!
