Hawk -- Smart re the 5K. Take care of yourself.

RA -- Nice splits yesterday. You'll be fine for the HM.

Me -- Did 7 yesterday with 3 at slower tempo. Heat took a toll. Then did a quick 11 miles on the bike. Will head out for 6 recovery in a bit, then maybe some wet work later. Working from home.

Didn't sleep well and felt crappy this morning so had to bag my run. Probably a good thing. May need to go to the Dr as I have a welt on my back... DW thinks it's a spider bite... been getting worse. Not sure what it is but it hurts.

Chances - Nice job on the balanced workouts. I'm feeling the HM curse returning... I've been feeling off all week and Sunday could be a bust. We shall see.

Hawk - yeah, a HM when under-prepared is not fun. Been there. Good luck with the 5k.

2.6? miles. was running along on a route I have done numerous times. Went to cross a little foot bridge path and hit a tree root and had a spectacular fall. got road rash on my had and knee. Got up and decided that I was done for the day and headed home to fix the wounds. I live to run another day.

Flyby... Quick splishing and splashing in the fishbowl yesterday morning. From there headed up to Grandma's. Drove the back route, catching son1 only 8miles from Grandma's. Speedy little snot! Took Grandma to the doctors, where we did not get good news on her vision. Bummer...

We stayed overnight, then son1 and I rode home today. Very foggy this morning. So foggy that at points I just followed the white line, having no idea where we were. Okay, with all the flooding that's going on, what makes it a good idea to take a road that goes feet from the river? Apparently they had taken a plow through overnight to "clear" mud and debris. Muddy rooster tail anyone?! From there we cut over on a less than one lane road to County Line Road. Flat lands, then for no reason there are some rollers. No reason for 'em. They're just there. Overall a decent 86mi spin.

Tonight, we'll celebrate son2's 17th birthday. Tomorrow, son1 and I ride back up to Grandma's. My van is still up there! Then Sunday, we'll ride the Hancock Hundred.

Quiet friday. I did elliptical today because of a slight ‘something’ in my right hip that I felt warming up and cooling down yesterday, though I was able to run fine. I think it might be residual from Monday's one-legged squats. I am not too concerned but better safe than sorry.

Chances - nice going on the tri- training, you got another one picked out?

RA - take care of yourself and hope things turn around for Sunday

kfuller - geez, it's just going around today. Onward to tomorrow.

4boys - glad you made it back through the mist. Spin on.
