2000m of splishing and splashing. SAD on 5's, CU on 10's. Might need to find a new gym. Since swim lessons are more profitable, they're kicking members out of the only 2 lap lanes.

Consistency is a great thing, you two guys seem to be kings of it right now.

I got out for an evening brick last night. First, about 51 minutes on the bike. Then I quickly put the bike away, changed into running shoes and headed out for a little mile jog around the block.

Today - trails. I'm supposed to be meeting some friends for happy hour after work (rooftop bar, beer and baseball on the tube) so I probably will have to settle for the bunny trail on the GMU campus across the street...about a mile around with one steep uphill and one equally steep downhill, the rest of it pancake flat. Oh well. Between the run over there & back, and then 6 or so loops on the trail I should end up with around 8 miles.

Happy Friday and good luck BBS on that trail race!

4BM - did it to me again...snuck in while I typed. Comes with the territory on public pools. Hope you can find a good solution.

Ended up going to lunch with some old work colleagues so "may" do my planned 5'er later this afternoon. Don't want to end the month with a duck. It still hasn't registered that I'll be running a marathon in 8 days as in my head I have the date for NYC (Nov 6th).

Hawk - I see triathlon in your future.

4boysmom - Nice workout. Bummer about the pool.

kfuller - your Garmin must be wrong.

Dan - Nice job. I was going to start a thread earlier but actually had work to do so forgot.

Back from the little trail. Due to construction on campus -- I guess those recent Final Four appearances are bringing in the dough -- they changed the trail configuration and it actually goes on some soft single track now which is an improvement over the crushed limestone. But it's still only a mile around. I managed 6 loops, was going catatonic after about 4. No pop in the legs today but I plodded along anyway at more like recovery pace than easy run pace. With the out/back from the office included it was 7.63 all told (apologies to Chances). Oh well, it's in the books.

Oh and RA, re: triathlons there's this little issue called swimming...

Hawk - I can't swim and think that I'd out perform some of the folks I've seen at smaller triathlons. You should kill it.

kfuller - I like your thinking. You will go far.

4boysmom - Isn't DFL and multiple AG winner an oxymoron?

Anyway, got out for my 5'er just in time. Heavy raining shortly afterwards. I seem to be running faster... not on purpose... hmm... maybe that's why my legs feel tired?
