Good morning, TEAM LIT!

Busy so right to it.

11.5 (maybe 12?) mile speed/semi-long run early this morning in 1:25:23. Did the iPod Shuffle Workout -- one or two songs on (speed) followed by one or less songs off (recovery jog). Felt very strong in early sets but had tummy issues after half way, and although my pace was okay during the ON periods, I struggled through them far more than normal -- never recouped after. Went like this:

o WU - 13:09

o 4:22 (ON) / 3:34 (OFF)

o 5:03 / 2:40

o 5:01 / 2:55

o 5:08 / 3:29

o 3:50 / 6:32 (tummy issues)

o 6:34 / 2:54

o 7:09 / 4:27

o 8:27

Great day, Peeps!

Good day everyone.

My nutrition was way off this morning or I guess I should say probably yesterday. My eating habits has been horrible lately. Anyhow, 20 this morning, I ended up bonking during mile 17 and by mile 20 I was down to walking tenth of a mile and then running 1/2 mile. It was bad, but it is in the books. average pace: 8:10. Better today than race day.

At lunch I am heading out to buy a new bike. Hopefully they still have it in stock, Felt B16.

Hello friends,

It's icky and humid and warm here in NY today. I got out early and did a portion of a loop around my condo complex, about 2 miles with a couple of horrible short hills and a killer longer hill (which I had to walk). Not feeling 100% but as someone above said, it's in the bank now. I'm having some lower back pain similar to sciatica and it's exacerbated by sitting, so I've been on my feet as much as possible. I'm thinking of going to a good chiro but it's just so inconvenient - he only has hours something like 10-6 and of course that means I'd have to take time off work. Plus I'm going to a PT for my hips; you'd think that would help but it isn't related, apparently. Oh well, this too shall pass, right?

Right now I'm at a library near my dentist's office. I have a whole series of appts today -- dermatologist, dentist, then eye doc. I thought I had gotten optimal timing but the dermatologist was quicker than I expected so I have an hour to kill before the dentist appt. I called and asked if I could come in early, but that didn't work out. Oh well. Next Friday I have a haircut scheduled plus cardiologist and then my mammo. Then I'll be as good as gold for another year. Except for my flu shot -- they keep advertising that they're in all the drug stores but then when I call the drug stores, they aren't offering them. WTF?

Enjoy your day everyone - it's countdown to the weekend!

Um...I'm racing in the morning. AWESOME! It's a trail 10k, my long run was 4miles (3 weeks ago) and I've been tapering ever since... Insane does not begin to describe the adventures tomorrow will bring. Slow and steady, the only goal is to have FUN.

4 mile lunchtime run (done) and a bike commute home for me. Today would normally be my rest day, but I'm swapping it for tomorrow. I forget why now.

DOR that turned into DOEW (day of excessive walking). A friend of ours is running for city council, so we spent maybe 1:20 or so walking the neighborhood this morning putting flyers on porches. Then, ended up with a spontaneous trip to Disneyland with some friends, so walked the park pushing the kiddos. Glad this was a step back week - tomorrow is back down to 12-13m. Whew!
