It was this date last year my lower left leg was put in a cast. That was tough, but it all kind of worked out.<br><br>
It's a rest day for me today. Tomorrow I'll run.

Morning, <b>Scratch</b>.<br><br>
Well, yesterday was an off-day for me, but not a planned one. Maggie's ankle will be okay, but it did derail my plans yesterady. Now, today <b>is</b> a scheduled off-day, and I don't think I'll have time for a run.<br><br>
I took the last two days of 2007 off, and now I've got two days in a row so early in 2008 without runs. Ack, I'm losing it! Well, I got 20 on tap for tomorrow. Hopefully I'll remember which leg to move at what time...<br><br>

Glad to hear Maggie is okay Bob.<br><br>
I'm heading the gym for a short run and strength training after dropping DD2 at pre-school.<br><br>
It's still wicked cold out there.

<b>((((Maggie's ankle))))</b><br><br><b>Litchfield Valentines Run</b> - I have had a few years where that was a maybe, but have never done it. Now that RW has made it famous, I may have to pony up.<br><br>
No run for me today - I am on early shift at work, and it is girls night out for DW so no nighttime running. Will be doing core work for VRAA!!

I am sick like dog today, staying home from work. I think the birthday run knocked my immune system out, then I felt better 3-4 days afterwards, then racing hard on the 1st put me back in the same position. I feel like dookie so looks like the streak of 2008 will halt at 3 days!<br><br>

I think that I have 12 on tap for this morning, I'll have to check.<br><br>
I really want to get some new songs going on my IPod this morning before I head out. I know the order of the songs in all my playlists waaayyyyyy too well, it's beginning to drive me nuts. I'm not too into music, so the songs in my "running songs" play list is a pretty odd mix of stuff.<br><br>
What kind of music do you all like to run to? Give me some ideas.

Hi everybody!<br><br><b>Feel better</b>, sickies. I would like to be sick today so I wouldn't have to go to work, but at least it wouldn't derail any running for me!<br><br>
I'll stop whining about being injured eventually, I promise.<br><br>
Weights and core definitely today - at least signing up for the VRAA will make sure I do things and don't slack off altogether while I'm waiting for my leg to be all fixed up.<br><br>
Jen's <b>QOD</b> - I have a mix that I've been listening to for about a year - I should mix it up some too! - Neko Case is one of my favorites for running. Rilo Kiley, Arcade Fire, Radiohead...well, that last one I just like, it's not really the best running music. Don't know why it works everywhere but there.

If this were high school, I would think <b>Jill</b> and <b>PC</b> have been makin' out in the closet!!<br><br>
I used to have a Tivo, back when I had satellite tv. I loved it. When you pressed the button to jump backwards it made this awesome "Boop!" noise. You wanted to press the button just to hear it go boop.<br><br>

That was my run. 8 miles on the TM, just like the day before. 68 minutes.<br><br>
Random thoughts from watching the first part of the Fiesta Bowl from the mill:<br><br>
- Man, and I thought Andy Reid was overweight.<br>
- How does a kid make it through high school with a name like Hyman?<br>
- Why do college teams defer on the coin toss? Unless the weather is crazy I don't see any advantage to that.<br>
- Who thought platooning a QB is a good idea?<br>
- What will they flag kids for next? Clapping too loud when they score a touchdown?<br><br>

And, happy belated birthday!<br><br><b>ll</b> How did the 1st tennis lesson go? I love the sport, stink at it but love it. I spend more time running around chasing the ball then I do hitting it.

<b>Sara</b> - DD2 seemed to like tennis. They did use smaller racquets but used real balls (no Nerf Balls Tim.) It's still too early to tell if she's in love with it but she said she wants to go back next week - which is all I can ask for right now.

<b>LL-</b> with as fickle as I remember being at her age (and seeing my nieces and nephews being the same), the fact that she wants to go back next week is a good sign. <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"><br><br>
Gonna do something today, score some pts for my VRAA team. If it warms up the way it is supposed to, I may do a short run outside. I don't have my heavy gear with me, because I packed yesterday for the gym and then left my bag here in the office when I deferred that workout until today.

Heyas folks. Got in 6m run on the Tm last night, which was a record for me. Quads, knees and the right ankle were not at all happy with me last night, but things feel pretty good this morning. Whew!<br><br>
If anything, my biceps and abs are a little sore from starting my weight training on Wednesday! I'll probably revisit weight training this evening.<br><br>
Our house has been without internet access since 12/31, (details on the fun thread), so I've been falling behind on the threads here. Hope you guys are doing well, those injured heal quickly, and those fighting flu/colds have short durations!<br><br><b>QoD:</b> music wise- anything goes. I have 25 playlists on my Ipod as it is, and I'm sure more will come. You'll literally find anything in there from pop, 80's, alternative, metal, blues, funk, rap, and even a little bit of country. Some playlists have a theme (80's stuff, for example), others are created with "up and down" cycles. Others are things just thrown together just because I felt like it at the time.<br><br>
Okies.. gotta review last night's threads so I can see what's been happening around here!

I know that sick thing too...I have had whatever I have since December 7th...and it sucks. Time to get a Z-pack.<br>

I'm hoping I can sneak 6 miles in today, if I can find someone to watch the lil'one. I have to leave work early so DW can go fire someone (or at least put them on notice). Heh, how's that for a welcome back to work...return from maternity leave for a day, deal out a 'you're fired', and return back on leave for another 2+ weeks.<br>

Hello hello!<br><br>
4 miles last night on the treadmill with 6 hill repeats thrown in. Bleh. Plus lifting and some extra cardio on the bike to bring me up to an hour. Today's a rest day, but I'll do some core work so I get VRAA points for my team! 5 on tap for tomorrow plus boot camp, and 8 on Sunday.<br><br>

I might go do some weights at the gym tonight. Friday nights are usually pretty empty or I could just wait until Saturday morning when I'll be at the gym anyway to get some cardio in.
