Well, that sucked. My left big toe has been cranky for a while. Been thinking about going to a podiatrist, but have not gotten around to it. Instead of an annoying dull pain, today it was sharp shooting pain. Stopped at about 1 mile. Was going for 4.

That bites, Litch.

I didn't run again today. I'm in a slump, I guess. I blame the weather change and the lack of brightness in the mornings. I need to get back at it, though, because I was doing so well there for a while.

((((Litch's Toe)))) I don't know why but the idea of hugging your toe strikes me as hilarious. I think I need more coffee.

My treadmill crapped out last night putting the kibosh on my run. If I hadn't waited so late to run it I could have gone to the gym. RATS. Stupid thing stops suddenly, and it's happened before and i just restart it and it's fine. But this time it's like the belt was slowing and speeding up and it felt like I was running on ice. It seemed dangerous to continue so I quit. And the sudden stop jarred my hip funny and it was hurty. DOUBLE RATS.

Today's a new day. I'm off of work. After DD's ortho appt I'll get a nice leisurely run in. Outside. Then lots and lots of house and yardwork.

Jeez, sounds like a rough morning so far. Mojo vibes to those that need 'em and hugs to hurty parts.

Safe travels to Gov!

I got 4 slow miles done. It was nice to sleep in a bit and only do 4 miles. Supposed to do a short race tomorrow, but DD is having ten 13 year olds sleep over, so I better stay home and make sure there is no trouble!

Good runs to all!

I had high hopes of going to 5:15 spin before my workout this morning, but there was no.way. I was a little upset with myself on the way to the gym, but then I realized today was legs and I was glad!

Hugs and good wishes to those who are off to a rough start this morning. So far today is great for me. I'm off work, and I got in a short easy run. I'm about ready to hit the road and drive up to Boston for the weekend. I even plan on getting in a 10-12 mile run around my friend's town tomorrow.

Good luck to the weekend racers!

Good day! Just popping in to say hi and see what's going on with Timr for Air Force tomorrow. I'm picking up my packet a little later today (after Chipotle with my youngest and a few of The Lads). The weather looks pretty good, my legs feel a little creaky but hopefully they'll be fine tomorrow. I'm shooting for 2:55, maybe as fast as 2:53.

Who all is doing PDR this weekend? Any other racers?

Good luck, racers! Let's see -- Maria, 2oh, Pacer, TimR, Pacer, anyone else? Pacer, I don't think anyone from this group is doing PDR this year (and it's now Rock & Roll Philly... they bought it from ING). I have lots of friends running it, though, so luck to them as well!

Driving mojo to GoV!!!!!! No racing for you, buddy. Slow and steady. Just get here safe.

I ran 4 last night and will get another 4-5 done tonight. I've decided that my goal for the fall is to smash the hell out of my 10K PR. So that's what I'm going to do, thankyouverymuch.

morning

ran 3 supah slow last night with the pup. My shin behaved, my stomach did not..boo

tried to bike afterwards on the trainer and I was overheating and started to feel lightheaded so I stopped. Think I am fighting off a cold or something.

When I tried to sleep, my shin started to throb so I put on the calf sleeve and that took care of it. I think I just tweaked a shin splint type of thing running funny on the mud on Wednesday night.

Thinking about a trail HM tomorrow...for fun..hmmmmmm

Good luck to the racers this weekend -- Maria, 2oh, Timr, Pacer, moonie, Kp? (did you mention an HM tomorrow?)

Pacer - I was supposed to run PDR-- registered for it -- but with my bitchy achilles, I'm out. I'm (sort of) looking forward to cheering/spectating, though, because there are some BIG name racers that will be there.

I get to have someone work me over again today with more Graston stuff. And electrical stimulation. Awesome.

Hi all - got in 8.25 mi yesterday; nothing on the docket today, though I'll be tweaked this way and that with 30 min of ART around lunchtime.

Ouch Litch - as someone who (foolishly) kept running with a broken toe, at the very least take it easy on the thing. Hoping it's nothing too serious there

That 30K I signed up for tomorrow at the last minute better feel like fun heh! It looks like rain won't be an issue, but the weatherman has been so freakin' wrong this summer with the forecasts, I won't believe it 'til I run it.

Good luck to our racers (Maria, 2oh, Pacer, Timr...possibly kp & Brandy?) - mucho mojo to you! And just general ((((30s)))) hugs to the whole lot of ya
