Rise and shine kicksters;

5 recovery paced miles this morning. Seemed oh so short. 47F but 83% humidity.

I had my regular massage last night. Back soreness was sorted out but he said that I need an alignment - great. So, off to the chiropractor I go. Hopefully he can fit me in ASAP.

Have a good Friday!

RA -- Once the temps get that low, does the humidity still bother you? Good luck with the chiropractor.

Me -- Same workout as RA's -- 5 recovery. Will get it in after work. Brief due.

RA - 47 and 83%? Wow, the good the bad and the ugly. Not sure about those alignments. Never quite felt right to me. Now and attitude adjustment, that's a different story.

A night of pooping and throwing up dogs. Whoopee! I'm sure it was a conspiracy. Oh the sounds and the smells. Rest day for me except for a little spot cleaning on the rug.

Rob - Sneaky! Have fun with the brief and the run.

No. I do find that it chills my hands as it's damp but other than that it's fine. Hey, it's English weather. Note that the humidity tends to fall in the hours after dawn. It should be a similar story for the marathon. Note that the first 3-4 miles always feels "close" due to the volume of people and the buildings. Once you are out of the Loop it's cooler.

Dan - your pets are plotting something... look out!

Good morning everyone.

Cool morning here at 62; still humid though. 10 mile run at <70% HRR for an avg pace of 8:10. I am ready to hit it hard again next week.

RA - It is amazing when 5 miles seems like it is too short. Remember the days when 5 miles seemed long.

Chances - Have a great run later.

Dan - That is never fun!

Happy training everyone.

Kept my friday routine of 4 recovery miles + abs class at the health club with yoga on tap for tonight.

RA - I wore gloves for the first time in a long time today, though didn't need them. We usually get a smidge less humidity away from the lake.

Chances - have a good recovery

Dan - rest up

Dave - nice 10, hope it stays cool for you

Take care all.

Hawk - the HAT 50k only has a handful of entries still available, just in case you are thinking of registering ...

Good morning all.

Good luck with the back Asics.

Enjoy your 5 Chances.

Sorry about the dogs Dan.

Nice 10 Dave.

Enjoy the yoga Z.

Good morning Jill -- any flooding near you?

I did 8 miles on the mountain roads. Had to cut it a little short because I was running late thanks to all the flooding. Took me an extra 20+ minutes to drive in thanks to several road closures.

Some light rain still this morning, but nothing like yesterday's down pour. There is a huge cross country invitational meet on campus today. Should be quite the slop fest -- might try to catch some of it..

Loopy that sounds like it should be lots of fun. That's how Griak was last weekend at Minnesota's campus. The race today should be pretty much as close to perfect conditions as possible, unless it's windy. It's supposed to be in the 50s and it hasn't rained all week. Hopefully my teammates throw down some fast times.

A few classes and a test today before I head off to the meet.

CMJ-As per yesterday, grey-shirting is the D3 equivalent of red-shirting, but lamer. We don't even get to practice with the team...it's pretty much just sitting out everything and training on your own.

Have a great start to the weekend people!

Managed to catch the first men's race and see Sam Chelanga of Liberty crush the field. Was going to stick around for the start of the first woman's race, but it started raining pretty hard and I needed to get back to work anyway... glad I at least got to catch some of it...

Asics--sounds perfect!

chances--enjoy the 5 later

Dan--hope you don't have white carpet. Ours is off-white with white where I've treated stains.

David--nicely done.

zrun--nice little trot there

loopy--only a runner would find a way to avoid flooding to get their run in.

Long run for me this morning. Couldn't ask for better conditions! Full sun and 45* at the start. Did get a bit breezy towards the end though. Did my usual 2.5m loop, but added an extra O&B for 3.3m. That way I only had to do x6, rather than x8. Stopped at the van after laps 2, 4, and 5. Lap times of 29:15, 28:55, 28:54, 29:17, 29:36, 30:00. Added an extra little to get exactly 20m in 2:57 @ 8:51. Uh... MP= 8:45. I think I ran this one a bit hard!

Good morning everyone. Another rest day for me from running. I did get some stretching in and that will be all for today. Nice job on all of the running and such.

To be honest, I've been so busy at work I haven't had a chance to even get near that registration page...

Another fly-by while I try to meet a deadline fast approaching. Hoping to get 5 or so in after work. Then I think it's time for DW and I to treat ourselves to a nice dinner out. This week's been a bee-otch for us both.

Planning to go 20 tomorrow.
