1800 yards in the pool ... about 33:30. Not particularly fast, but it actually felt pretty good.

3 mile easy run early this morning. Hamstring not perfect but better than normal for day after hill session. Which is good, because I've got a mountain tomorrow. Meeting a friend at Wachusett Mountain for a romp up and down trails to the top. Hope to also get in a few repeats on the road leading to the auto road.

Good morning! We're going hiking today! A few short hikes in the Coast Range then we'll end our day at the beach. I haven't been hiking in ages since I've always had a race on the calendar.

Just one lap of Maybury singletrack. Took it easy on uphills and worked on techniques, about 50min including wu/cd. FUN! In a while, taking the tri bike to the DS's track meet, about 13miles away. DH will be taking DS and his teammates there so no point of releasing additional Co2 by taking another car.

Oh I've been away a wee bit. I ended up being iron deficient as the tests would show, so I've been finally getting my strength back. Traveling and stuff I just wasn't eating and got really scrawny and weak. I got crushed on the bike 2 times this week, nothing in me. Yes Mike, more scrawny than I use to be. So I ate 3 probably 1/3 pound burgers last night!

Good energy today, hour swim, then ran on the tm with 5 x 7min at 6:30 pace. Felt good. Started them around 6:40, last one at 6:18. Point was not to go all out but good pace where I felt like I had a lot more left. See how the bike goes tomorrow. Racing next weekend, hope to be strong by then. Now time to eat!

Last run before Sunday's marathon. Took the little otters on an easy stroller push around the neighborhood for about 2.25m. Tomorrow just going to walk the dog in the morning to stay loose, then head to the expo. Woohoo!
