43F with winds 9 MPH - Wind CHill 38F - Very manageable and sometime even enjoyable weather for a run.

I always run out and back - Today I was going to do 15, but made the turn @ 7.25 as I knew I was in trouble - I have been running a lot lately & trying to lose weight - My glycogen stores were empty - Too many peas and green beans last night - not enough pasta. I limped back home for a 14.5 mile run in a hair under 1:54. Then I had a slim fast - A cup of pasta - about 400 calories of malto meal and a gatorade within 20 minutes of end of run - That should help

The possitive thing about a run like this - It always amazes me what you can force your body to do when you do not have another alternative - This mentally goes a long way the last 6.2 miles of the marathon.

Good running to all -

SGH - I know it's not the same as running, but you are going to be back in running shape so darn fast you won't know that you were on the injury reserve list.

Flounder - I know that feeling. Actually the last three days have been like that for me. Lots of aches and pains and being tired. Just gotta slog through it and hope that it is good preparation for when you need to slog through a race.

Today was 12 miles, 8.25 slowish to downtown, and 3.85 very very slow with a running buddy.

Looking forward to sleeping in and doing 5 tomorrow, 17 on Sunday (14 at MP).

Have good ones all.

Here's the workout- 4x200 (200 recov.), 2x400 (400 recov.), 800 (800 recov.), 2x400 (400 recov.), and finally 4x200 (200 recov.)

Had a warmup lap then 38, 40, 38, 37. 1:17, 1:16. 2:39. 1:15, 1:16. 35, 36, 35, 34.

Goal paces were for 5:00 pace so ideal would've been 37, 1:15, and 2:30 but it's 40 outside with strong wind and rain so I'm pleased.

Should be able to check back in tomorrow night. Have a great weekend.

Nice 2.25 miles of a straight run today for me, no walking. Averaged a 12 min mile and some change. It wasn't hard. I could have pushed myself to go another 1/4 mile and make it 2 1/2, but I wasn't going to push myself.

Just a light, easy walk around the neighborhood. Maybe a 1/2 mile in all. Still feeling good, but tired.
