Morning all, Happy Friday

Looks like another 4 mile shake out today for me. Still hot... I wished this hot weather would have hit a week earlier, Its gonna be hard to race not being used to these conditions. At least its an early start, 6:30 a.m.

Running in circles for me this morning. Not sure what I had in the legs so headed to the track so I could quit any time. Certainly felt all the gardening I've done this week! But, it felt good to shake out the legs a bit. Easy 3mi. Back garden is DONE, which of course means it's time to start weeding the front. It never ends! Nothing today though so hopefully I'll have something in the tank for Sunday's race.

BBS--hopefully you'll get our cooler temps. It was in the 50's this morning!

4boysmom / BBS - nice easy going. Hope you have great weather and great races with weekend.

A 7am call (my boss is a tool) f'ed up my plans so now I have to try and get something done while at work. The wheels are off of another week's running. It's getting depressing. It seems like I'm starting from scratch. I need a vacation. Anyway, definitely not doing the 5k on Sunday as a longer run is required.

BBS / 4BM - Nice easy runs this morning.

RA - Sorry your couldn't get your run in this morning.

Me - A 3 mile easy run for me as well. I threw in a few striders to put a little speed into it. Sprint Tri tomorrow morning.

4 consecutive days of record breaking temperatures; today may be 5 and tomorrow 6. Which will make for a miserable race tomorrow, hot and humid.

Happy Training Everyone.

It's a little cooler here today...60s right now, 80s for the high. Keeping an eye on the Sunday forecast. Predicted high is only 84 but there is a chance of thunderstorms. Picked up my race packet at North Face last night...I have to say they did a pretty nice job on the shwag, a super-lightweight tech shirt in blue and some arm-warmer sleeves (which I obviously won't need for quite a while). Then I ran across the street to City Sports and grabbed the water bottle I was looking for, a Nathan 22 oz with an adjustable hand holder that also has a zipper for holding gels, etc.

Super easy run today, about 2-3 miles in the FiveFingers. Then resting tomorrow, racing Sunday morning.

BBS/Dave - good luck in the heat, just hydrate lots to be ready for it. Not much else you can do.

4bm - good job shaking it out, maybe the light week will help this weekend

RA - hope you can rack up those miles this weekend

7.2 miles on the TM.

Hawk - hope those storms stay away.

Dave - consider it heat training for Kona :)

So, everyone is racing this weekend except for me? What's up with that? Perhaps I need to reverse my statement on that 5k?!
