Yesterdays Tempo went pretty well, splits were 8:49, 7:24, 7:13, 7:17, 8:24. BIL was a no show though. Loser.

Today I got out for an eay 4 in 34:12. I'm feeling pretty good about my speed right now. Looking forward to my 'A' 5K race in a month. Its the same course that I set my last PR at.

Quick little spin this morning. Nothing felt good OB. Just wasn't getting into it. Turned down a road that's a favorite that we haven't taken in a while. Went a bit further than planned so I could TA at Burnt Pond Rd. Because, well, it sounded like the right thing to do? IB I found my mojo and hammered a bit harder than I should have. Oh well, if I feel like crap tomorrow I'll just DNS this 5K that has no purpose other than it just sounded like a good idea.

Still waiting for test results, which could come today or possibly not until Monday. She did make it sound like I should expect further testing. The waiting has me worried sick. Yesterday I had to get out of the house so I went to the green house to buy flowers to replace the ones my stupid collie dog smooshed. Huge yard, but for whatever reason he's decided that my garden is the bestest place to lie.

Happy Friday morning...

After a week of being on the shelf I finally got to pack a bag with running gear today. My prediction of this being a 1-week issue was right on target it seems, as it was a week ago I got injured. Today it will be just a mile or two as I ease back into it, then maybe 3 tomorrow. Finally, if I can go 5 on Sunday, I think I'm back to normal next week. That's the plan anyway.

BBS - sounds like you're in a nice groove. Just gotta stay sharp for that race.

4BM - nice ride. I missed the medical news but hope the tests go well.

I got in 6 miles today. It was nice easy run the first 3 miles and then a bit faster to finish. Have a great morning everyone.

Well, first baby steps towards a return were taken. But I'm not exactly back yet, either.

Walked for 10 minutes, then ran easily for 10. Hammy felt OK, a little tight. Walked 10 more and decided to try one more run segment. That lasted about 5 minutes as it started to hurt again, though nothing like last week. So I called it quits and walked it back in from there.

Sore right now, not surprisingly. But the real test is how it feels in the morning. Either way I doubt I'll be back up to full speed next week. This is clearly going to take a little longer than that.

Hawk - bummer. Take it easy. Still plenty of time.

kfuller - nice job on the negative split 6

4boysmom - you need to keep yourself busy to keep your mind off things...

BBS - nice job on the tempo and easy run. I smell a PR.

A bit too much celebrating last night = a rough morning. Got in a mid afternoon run on the TM at work. 7.4 miles in the log book. Looks like an off day tomorrow with a kid birthday party and other such excitement. May hit up the zoo. Shooting for 15 on Sunday.
