Good morning, TEAM LIT!

Me...

4 mile slow, easy paced run early this beautiful morning. Tired from yesterday evening's 9.5 mile trail run, the second of a double on the day.

Have had a dull pain on the bottom of my right foot for the last two years. Always thought it was from bruising caused by a build up of callous. But now I know that isn't correct, as the pain has progressed in the last few months. Something more serious in there. Doesn't hurt when I run but I feel it all day long and after runs. Might have to visit my doctor on that one at some point.

Went for a 21 mile ride pre-work, and rolled in a bit late. Chilly out there!

Off camping down in CT this weekend, so no long ride - but plenty of time for that later.

Good weekend all, mojo to racers, and thanks for the kind thoughts.

DOR for me. Racing Sunday as a relay with B running for me. Nieces are supposed to race the sprint but it looks like pneumonia will keep them at home.

Good luck racers! George, sorry to hear about the job. Hope you can enjoy the time off a bit. Hubster is also out of work.

Thor - Maybe a bone spur??

Rest day for me, and good thing. Legs are cooked. Decided to hop in the time trial last night, 24 hours after a hard 6 mile tempo run. Figured there was a chance the legs might surprise me with a solid performance. Nope. Knew I was in trouble when the quads starting feeling heavy at the half-mile point (10 mile course). Popped at 3.5 and mostly soft-pedaled the rest with occasional pick-ups to at least get a good workout from it. Oh well. Next week I will plan around a re-try. Hopefully the weather is as good next week as it was yesterday (that is, no wind).

Daily run. Went with Donnie after I got home from work. Had to go very slow.

Thor. It could be a bone spur or even PF. PF doesn't always affect the heel as the fascia runs the length of the foot. Maybe some different shoes or an insole would help.

Thor - I was diagnosed with PF once but had no pain on heels nor gave me a pain upon waking up. Hope your foot issue wouldn't put you to 'taking it easy' mode for a long time.

Reg - had a great time camping.

Just 70min road riding. It feels like I just can't produce any power on my tri bike...just darn slow. Not enjoying a road riding . I am going to take my road bike (700cc, my tri bike is 650cc) out next time. Taking it a bit easy for the Sunday's sprint race.
