Morning

Nice belated b-day presented from my work- forced 12hr shift. Just a mile on the schedule today anyhow. I'll knock it out on the TM when I get home this afternoon.

BBS - happy belated birthday to you! Streak on!

Jebba - too funny about the new judge... wait until he starts running when you do and challenging you in a race (rather than the courtroom)...

Managed to haul myself out of bed this morning. Drove to the gym. Bank said 1F. Ran 8.40 miles on the TM. Came home. Bank said 3F. Booked a flight back to Phoenix.

Asics--sill boy! That would have been a stupid easy "more miles than degrees" run. btw I missed your race report. My sister posted a 5:29. Wondering what kind of day it was?

Waiting for it to warm up a bit and roads to clear before driving over to the gym for a dip in the fishbowl.

RA - LOL I feel the same way about Fort Lauderdale right now.

I bagged the wet work again this morning and slept in. Hopefully that will knock out this fatigue I have been feeling all week. It seems I never really recovered from the weekend activities followed by the Tuesday trip home. Feeling a little better today though so maybe I am pulling out of it.

Not sure what I am doing today on my last non-working work day. Wondering if maybe I can hit the rec center where the swim group trains...not sure if I have the same status as a regular member of the gym...at least I could make up some of the missed swim on my own. If not that maybe just an easy neighborhood run.

BBS - some b'day present from the man. Glad you still got the run in.

Race reports. We still do those? I'm behind by about 3 races now. Something to do with my life getting turned upside down professionally a few months back...

Oh well, no swim for me this afternoon. My card's only good for the "swim team" session in the early morning. Think I will do an indoor brick instead.

I totally NAILED my swim workout. Well sorta. This was supposed to be two sets of 100x 5's. But, I got in there and was pissed off and figured I'd just hammer out a 2000 steady time trial. All that speed work is paying off! There were a few times I did lose focus but hot diggity dog if I'm not back to what I was posting two years ago. 2000m in 48:31.

On the way out they stopped me at the front desk. Seems my membership has expired. They can offer me a super special on three years--only $800. Not bad, except... We just payed son1's tuition. Son1 bought a car. Hubby was supposed to arrange a loan but we ended up paying cash. And we have to plunk down $4000 to possibly prevent a legal issue. So I may not be able to renew at all.

As far as race reports, nah, I don't post a full report any more. I race too stinkin' much. But I like to hear how people did in their races!

Indoor brick done earlier. 30 minutes on the trainer followed by 4 miles on the treadmill. On the run I did a mile warmup, then for the next 2 I did 8x200 at increasing speed.Mile cooldown to finish up. I guess you could call it a light interval workout.

20k tomorrow looks unlikely for me with some nasty weather in the forecast overnight and into the morning. No big deal, it was just a club race so it didn't cost me anything to sign up. All the better, I can do some good track racing on Sunday.

Hope you find a way to get that pool membership sorted out 4bm...that would surely be a waste of swim talent.
