Another DOR for me. I need to enjoy it while it lasts. The full load of marathon training starts in a few weeks and I'm sure I'll be longing for DOR gone by. Got a good start on the play loft yesterday. Planning to keep on going with it and getting some prep done for brunch tomorrow.

EWU plays for the National Championship this evening against Delaware. Go Eags!

I'm moving the trainer inside to watch the game. 30 minutes with a few spin-ups and single leg drills to get back into it.

4.5 miles easy run, well, it was supposed be easy but with this snow/wind, it got a little harder on coming back. Don't know where to run this Sunday (shooting 15miles) with no warming up to melt this snow. That is it today, consider this a recovery day. Later, 6 boys will occupy my house. Yeah... until tomorrow 10am.

Good afternoon, TEAM LIT!

Good news (sort of) in the aftermath of my company being dismantled was that I learned that I will be paid and have health insurance through the end of March. I knew I was being paid until the end of March, but I did not know the insurance carried that far. So I have until April 1 to find a job. That seems reasonable. Hopefully I find one... just not too soon... but at least before April 1. If it were summer and if I already had a job, I would consider cycling or even running across the country.

Glad to hear you are covered thru March Madness Thor.

Weight room at the Y this morning then an easy 500 at the Y near to the office at lunch. Crowded so we were doing circles. Banged hands with someone in the next lane, at least I hope it was a hand and not a head. Ready to increase distance.

Awesome news Thor. I know, too bad it's winter!
Hobey, sounds like you are tackling a lot of projects during your sebatical - I would be tempted to lay around. By the way, what's a play loft?

DOR for me. Eli's 6-mo shots this morning and he slept and was cranky most of the day, poor guy. We did get out on the ATV to plow the driveway, which he liked.

Our upstairs landing is a fairly good-sized loft-like open area. Right now, the space is shared by our computer and Little BD's LEGO table and trains. We're going to be turning his 3/4 bunk into a full bunk and moving his LEGO table/trains/toys back into his room as well as installing more bookshelves for him. We've pretty much moved the computer downstairs since getting rid of our cable. We turned our Mac Mini into a TV/DVR to record over the air HD and stream sports/shows from the internet. We're planning to turn the remaining open loft area into a permanent game room by moving a TV in there and setting up the WII and playstation plus adding a couch/futon so we'd have another extra place for visitors. Once we've completed the big purge, we're going to paint Little BD's room (LEGO colors!) and then replace 1/2 the loft carpet with laminate to delineate the game area.

You aren't the first person to ask why I'm working so hard during my time off. It's work but it's *not* work IYKWIM. BD & I used to do a lot of renovation for fun (read pre-kid). Now that N is able to entertain himself, we can get back to doing it.
