Good morning to you all. Would you believe I got to my gym this morning to take a yoga class & then run, and within 10 mins of the yoga class they vacated the building due to fire? Or suspected fire, I guess. There was a strong "electrical" burning smell and some smokey haze. So I'm trying to reschedule my morning and will attempt to get back there later on, after a fancy pedicure that DH gave me a gift certificate for in my Christmas stocking.

If they're still closed later on, I'll do the stationary bike at home instead, plus some yoga. It's too cold for me to run outside -- only 8 degrees, and I have asthma. I only run outdoors in IRC.

What a way to start the day!

BTW I saw that "some" teams on the VRAA are trash talking already to other teams. I won't name names.

3 miles with Ralph and Andy and Spencer and Sonya and Brit. They stayed with me the first mile and then I told them to take off. It was a good run for me.

I did something funny with my instant toe warmers... first off, I just carried them and they kept my gloved hands toasty. Butt. Then. I stuck them to the driver's seat. It looked like I had placed two pantyliners on my seat. Butt. My buns were nice and toasty.

Who'd a thought a 95 Honda Civic EX would have heated seats? The poor gal's version.
A few replies from the thread last night, when I was picking up DS from his auntie's house...Under Econo's hypnosis, I'm chanting my mantra, I will run a 4:30. A year ago in SoCal I ran a 5:40 so how cool would that be? Erika, at least on the mill in those warm temps you'll be ready for the heat in Carlsbad. Choovie, I thought of that episode of Arthur, "Locked in the Library." I loved watching that show with the kids. Now DD & her "sleepover" friends stay up until 4:00 giggling. I've been really tired at night so I can tune them out, at least.

Good Morning Folks! Right on mike, glad your healing quickly. Looks like everyone is on the upswing from reading yestarday's post.
Evanflien found her dog and rose is running!

Well the new avatar will hopefully inspire me to do more of my kind of running, nothing as sure footed as the Rocky Mountain Goat.

Anxiously waiting for our caregiver to get her for my run this morning.

Good Runs All, and good luck everyone on the VRAA games! Larry

Good Morning All,

Some nice runs done this morning - well done!

It's still to frigid here: 3F this morning, so I 6 miles on the TM, with 6x2 minute intervals with 1 minute recovery jogs in between. It's amazing how the body adapts! 47:34 (7:57 overall pace)

Rest tomorrow, and then a LR Sunday. Enjoy yourselves!

P.S. - I'm psyched! Last radiation treatment is tomorrow morning - then normal life goes on - YEAH!

Rochrunner, Rose, milbot, irrunmike you are brave people to run in this BRRRR!! Rose, I like how you used those handwarmers…hey, anything to keep warm!

Perchcreek, whoa that is an interesting picture. Never see THAT in Los Angeles!

Hi Triple J! Antag is always trash talking. Have a nice XT day.

Lyndenrunner hope your partner’s knee gets well.

Opie (aka Karl?) I think my DH and I met you a year ago at OC Marathon. I hope you do well in Carlsbad. I won’t be there this year so say hi to everyone (SLOJim, Sherie, etc.)

Runsthebitteroot, I hope your caregiver arrives soon.

Rest day for me today…supposedly a big rain storm is coming to So. Cal. (not here yet). I have to go to the allergy doc now and get my weekly shot. Supposedly this will make me better in 2 years so I can get off all these steroidal based inhalers.

Did'nt have time to read everybody's posts yet will read them later. I did see pictures though. When I see pictures of ice sickels on glasses (perchcreek :notworthy, it really make me feel like a wus since I ran on the Treadmill for 3 miles because I didn't feel like running in the cold.

No sleep last night (blame it on the monster on-call night). . No running (blame it on the monster on-call night). No time to play in the fresh snow that has been falling around here for 24 hours straight (blame it on the monster called work). .

Econo, I am glad to hear you found your pants...what about the theses?
scooney-running on the TM sometimes is harder than running in the cold weather.
good grief - how can one only lurk to catch up and not post something after yesterday's daily thread? Econo is losing her bra in the streets of Eugene? Is this a 21st century of burning the bra? nowadays, burning just adds to global warming you know . . . so have to find new ways to "ditch" the bra, eh? Were you lucky enough to find the thesis?

we're getting hit with pretty heavy rains here . . . I'm hearing that this will be "rains of historical proportion" . And as much as Millbot loves running in the rain, I think I'll still head to the dry TM for a run today.

Erika - I'm SO incredibly ecstatic that you found Cheyenne!! This played out just like how we lost our pups. As the crow flies, they were about 2 miles away, but by car, it was more like 5 or 6 - up over the backside of the mountain that we live on.

thanks for the message and {{hugs}} folks. I don't get stressed or down very often - rarely in fact - so when it hits me, it's like a ton of bricks. But I'll get through it. Thanks frenz.

Have a good day everyone.

Nice run Rosie/teamate but take it easy, we get poinks for miles no matter how slow they are
Perch, Dennis could use some water running advice in the 24 hour training station

OH yeah, going to run after work then take a weight training class.

Go Team Q!!
