wooo hooo! where is everyone today?? I got my last starbucks this morning. I'll be sad to not have access anymore but it will save me $5 every other week. 
 
Other than that I have nothing. I'm super pumped today about my good fortune!!

My sister had a beautiful baby girl yesterday afternoon. She was good sized - 8lb15oz and 23 inches! They are also using DD's middle name as her middle name too - Elisabeth. I got tagged late yesterday to make a brief presentation this morning and it went well. I definitely need to reevaluate what I want to do when I grow up so I can do more of that.

What is it about the smell of newborn baby's head? mmmmmmmmmmm............ I don't want one. just so you know. I just like to smell them and put them back.

Me too! I'm loving the whole Aunt thing. All of the fun and none of the work!
 
We are surprising my sister by going down tomorrow. Originally, we weren't going to be able to see the baby until June. But some things got canceled and my Saturday is open. So I'm packing up the kids and making a flying trip down and back. I can't think of a better way to spend Mother's Day weekend than with my sisters!

Fun: dinner later tonight at <a href="http://www.charno4.com/v1/" target="_blank">Char 4</a> , lots of great stuff on the menu and hopefully we'll get out for some bocce ball after wards! 
 
More fun: someone that lives on the 3rd floor of our apt bldg has a vizsla puppy!!!! I saw her yesterday morning but didn't have time to make an introduction and so when I saw her again last evening I had to meet her! She's about 6 weeks old and is named Bolt --- oh my god, I really really really want to steal her!! Wasn't able to snap a picture, spent too much time letting her jump all over me but this is pretty much what she looks like and her size

A coworker just had her third (a baby girl) on Monday...she stopped by the office yesterday on her way to the conference softball tournament. Yes, the 4-day-old went to the tournament, Mom is the head coach. Got to hold the little one...cute as a button! In no way makes me want to have one, but fun to hold!

I like that Astley song, actually. I have Foo Fighter's Rope stuck in my head at the moment. My assoc director yesterday groaned very loudly and said he had "Total Eclipse of the Heart" stuck in his!
 
Date with His Honor was nice last night, but I don't think there's too much of a spark there. I like him a lot...but not sure if it's that way. Also, I've apparently come down with a wicked cold and by the time I left the restaurant last night, I was shivering and felt like hell. After dosing myself with allergy meds (all I had), advil, nasal spray, nasal saline, a hot shower, and a soft cashmere sweater and corduroy skirt, I feel a bit better.
 
I have a breakfast date with someone else tomw though.

I'm not packed yet but as of today I'm donating a bunch of my old kitchen stuff to my co-workers son! I wont need a uhaul because Craig has an enclosed trailer and really all I have are a couple of sofas and a couple of beds and my dressers so not much stuff at all and besides the multiple boxes of books and wine I'm going to have I wont have much else!!
