Hi gang! No one here yet? Just little old me?
 
I'm looking forward to this day (and week) being over. It hasn't been horrible or anything, just off. And yesterday I got my hair cut and I hate it. Instead of feeling cute and fun, I feel frumpy and homely. Blah. I tried to get in touch with my hairdresser this morning to see if she had any time to fix it up, but so far, no luck. If I don't get a hold of her, I might have to find someone else to fix it. I've got a Christmas party to go to tomorrow night and I want to look good!
 
I'm on my sister's parade float tomorrow, too. Can't wait!

Hey folks!
 
So yesterday was a bit of a Thanksgiving FAIL. Little man fell and busted his lip open so he wasn' tin the best of moods. We headed over to DH's uncle's anyway (his Gran ended up going to another relative's house) and the first 2 comments I got were (1) Hi Chubby and (2) I lost weight and you put it on, hahaha. So um yeah, didn't set a good tone. We were there maybe an hour and a half cause Aiden was just out of sorts and quite frankly DH's aunt was on my last nerve (she made lovely comment #2). So shoveled a bit of food down and left. Then we spent the rest of the night cuddled on the couch with a fire going watching Beauty and the Beast. 
 
Colleen hope you can get a quick appt for a fix up!

Clarebear - I bet no matter what you think of your hair, everyone else will say that you look gorgeous, daaahling!
 
Beakerbabe - Egads. You have some friends/family that are in dire need of a refresher on manners! Glad you were able to enjoy the rest of the evening at home, and I hope Little Man's lip doesn't give any more grief today!
 
I am headed off to Wally-world. Heaven help me. Not for doorbusters of course. Those were long gone this am, I'm sure. I just need a few regular items and figured by now maybe.. just maybe.. the crowds have thinned out enough to be tolerable.

I figure even if there are crowds, I can people watch, as I don't have anything pressing schedule-wise today.

Hi all - lots of food and fun to be had with Kris' family (especially the smoked turkey and the various pies - yum! 
Today we get to see Kath and stop by the Columbus Zoo on this chilly Black Friday.

Lori some people think it's funny to comment on weight with pregnant women. Umm...it's not. Especially in the late stages of the game where you can't wait to pop that puppy out. You end up wanting to pop something else out, too. Like their teeth. I'm sorry your day didn't start as well as you'd hoped but it sounds like it ended nicely.
 
Thanks, Ailarie! I went to my hairdresser's at lunch but she was nowhere to be found. I ended up going to the shop in the lower level of my building. The lady who owns the place took me in and fixed me up. At least, I think it's good. It looks nice straight. We'll see how it looks when the curls are washed back in. What I liked most about her was that she didn't bash my hairdresser, like some people might. She was very considerate and said sometimes people just have an off day.

I SLEPT!!! Was in bed by 9 last night, asleep by 9:15, and slept straight through till 7 this morning. First time in a week that my brain hasn't felt waterlogged. WOOHOO!

That cleaning I've been talking about all week? My friend Liz left a couple minutes ago, so I'm finally just now starting to get around to it. She was laughing at me saying my house is a mess. "You want to see a mess, I have apple butter smeared on my windows!" (She has 2 adorable young boys - maybe 5 & 3ish?)

Back from work. It was a very relaxed day. I don't think anybody felt like working. 
The kids ended up with a Snow Day, due to freezing rain last night. It took me 15 minutes to uncrust the van this morning but the drive in was fine.
 
It's the weekend!
 
Clare: I'm happy to hear your hair is feeling better.
 
Beaker: I've got a set of cement boots that I'm not using....if you know what I mean. >< wink >< wink.

Oh Kath so nice to hear you had fun with the cutie couple

(yeah, still LOVE that you guys are together!!!)
 
Aiden and I just made popcorn and are chilling by the fire coloring pictures. So fun!
 
Ya know, I honestly don't get too upset about weight comments rightnow. After all, I DID gain weight but for the best absolute reason!!! So no worries. But I was more made that those were the only comments, no follow up with "How are you feeling? How's the baby?". DH and I hae determined we have lots of family members who are getting loopy the older they get!!
 
Tomorrow is the Holiday parade in the town DH grew up in; So excited for it!!!
