I can't keep up with you guys after work. And I am so sad.

I had to look for resources for brands and trademarks on the web yesterday. The topic? BEER! I like my job.

worldofbeer.com was a good site.

Also came across this gem: www.bobblebabes.com . Really thought of you guys with that one...esp Pacer.

Yesterday, the IT guy mentioned my taskbar had been moved and I said, I know, I like it on top, but I had no one to giggle with after.

Oache, I'd have taken a whiskey, your choice. I usually drink Jamesons. Neat.

OK, gotta run....

Moe!! I am so glad you like your new job!

Oache I continue to be more confident in my 'you're not a turd' analysis. I love olives.

GoV I had chili last night

Nettie I like NeYo because i really miss new jack swing. No kidding, last year when I saw NE...JG made me cry.

You all want to hear some shit?
'member the racist-ass proposal my adivor put together that I was trying to figure out a way out of? it got accepted. I sent an email saying, "wow, that's great, however i'm working 2 jobs right now and my intellectual efforts really need to concentrate on finishing my dissertation and defending in Winter."
yesterday, i get a call....from another committee member. Advisor says, 'well she's making progress, why don't i just co author that paper with her? would i want to do that?'
um. hell no.
i reiterated that the conference falls in march, i'll either be getting ready to defend or doing final revisions, with my work schedule and the fact that i'm not on campus blazay-blazay-skip....I need to concentrate on my dissertation.
doooooode.
when that is done, i'm not kidding you. i'm going to shake Advisor's hand and say, "now. you keep MY name, out your mouth."
gah.

Morning folks!

Went to the Thrashers/Leafs (though I say it should be leaVEs) game last night. They kicked our ass. Oh well. Got home around 11 and in bed after midnight. I'm very sleepy! And- I'm such a bad teacher! I forgot I had a couple of kids coming in early to make up a quiz. Oops. I never forget that stuff! Thank goodness it's Friday- seriously. Yes, Bob, it's been a long week! I think it was because I had a one day week last week!

Mandy- hope it all turns out for you! Not much longer! How's school treating you? Still lovin' those khaki days??

Ok, gotta get some stuff copied for class. I'm really excited about a game I created (had a vision in the shower yesterday morning!) Hope it goes well.

Oh! There is a mini 30s meetup this weekend I think..... Tiff is travelling to Atlanta to watch LSU beat Tennessee tomorrow. She is going to try to meet Beth sometime this weekend. I'm excited for them. I know they will have fun.

QOD

November: I had probably my best ever month in fitness due to the fact my running time and distance have increased and it's the most consistent month of cross training ever. I lost weight and inches around my waist. Totally revved up over that.

December:

Christmas, 4 day weekend surrounding Christmas and spending time exchanging gifts on Christmas morning. Also getting to see extended family that you only bump into once or twice a year.

Morning everyone!

For a girl working at home, I sure have a full schedule today. It'll be something like:

Conf call
Doctor's appt
Conf call

Conf call
Conf call
Tattoo appt

Geez!

I'm supposed to do some variation on work at the same time too...I hate new projects.

[actually, I love the variety and excitement of a new project, I'm just whining]

Mandy - when you're done with the busy-ness in your schedule, would you like to co-author a paper with me? Something along the lines of "Women who know a turd when they see it and the Women who love them" It'd be a hit in all the academic [read: at my desk] circles!

QOD1 - Philly. Everything else in November pales.

QOD2 - Bacon-peanut butter chocolate truffles. We've got some family drama happening with my brother's new wife (already, geez!)...so my baby brother, with whom I cook up the most unhealthy collection of appetizers for our xmas eve (now on Dec. 22), found this most awesome recipe. Totally going to be eating these at christmas, so now I have something to look forward to!

Happy Birthday LLyoungestdaughterBerg!

You know, it's been a very busy week for me but I felt like it sped by. At the end of the day yesterday, I remember thinking "tomorrow is Friday already?" That vacation around Phily and Thanksgiving did me a world of good, let me tell you. I am no longer stressed, and things calm down starting next week anyway. I'm in a damn fine mood these days.

December- my BIL's graduation from nursing school, although I will probably not make it to the ceremony itself. It took him a long time to figure out what he wanted to do (he turns 30 in January). He became an EMT and found his calling in the medical field. Went on to become a paramedic and then started nursing school. His grades in nursing school were the best grades he ever got in his life. He's always been a good DH to my sister and good to their kids, but this is something good he has done for himself.

November- having a decent race in Philly and getting to meet everyone.
