Fun: A friend that I went to high school with, is being induced to bring her baby boy into the world. She already has two 20 year old twins, but is now remarried and about to add to the family again. First child for Husband 2.0. Very excited for them both!

Not Fun: 95 degrees this weekend and we're pulling down plaster and sanding the new sheetrock so it can be textured next weekend.

It's rainy and windy and cool here again today. This weather is killing me. Ugh. I'd much rather the sun and warmth. It's supposed to turn around for the weekend. Hope so.
 
We're still working on getting Lena through the night without peeing the bed. She's dry 9 times out of 10, so that's good. But the other morning she peed so I was stripping the sheets. I pulled the pillowcase off and she said, "Why are you doing that, mommy? I don't pee from my head!" She was all serious, I had to laugh.

Qod: Pen. Unless it's for something official, preferably in red or purple color

Qod2: mechanical. I like the finer tip, and being able to carry one without pencil marks showing up at odd places.

QOD - pen. blue is preferable. Why? pencil is messier and not permanent. I only use a pencil when I am working through a problem.

One more meeting, then I'm picking up DD and heading to the airport. Should land in the big apple at 6pm. We'll see The Lion King Saturday night, and the rest of the time is unscheduled exploring with tentative plans to see Maria on Sunday. Monday morning brunch at the American Girl Store, then home again that afternoon.

gorgeous weather here, and I just heard from my friend that she got us tix to see Foo Fighters in November! AWESOME!
 
I am going to see Nikka Costa with her tonight...I don't know NC, but whatever, live music is fun.
 
Amy, that sounds like a great trip! My friend Troy was the wig master for the Lion King when it came to Boston, how crazy is that?
 
I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooo looking forward to this weekend. Tomw I just have stuff to do, and gallery sitting, but Sun I'm going up to see an old friend and we're going out on his boat for the day. (I got a txt from him saying "Do you want to Maryann or Ginger?" ummmm...clearly Ginger.) 
 
then Mon and Tues, I'm going down the Cape with some friends. Can.not.wait.
 
QOD: black fine point pen, preferably ball point. I write at such an angle, the roller balls scratch along. I use pencil a lot though at home.
 
QOD redux: I like mechanicals because they are finer, but a well sharpened wooden pencil is the best.

This will be our first real vacation away from the kids. We've done some one and two night deals but nothing like this.
 
 
QOD: I'm better with a pencil...but don't use one that much. I took drafting in both high school and college so I dig a nice mechanical pencil.

Fun: heading down to DC this afternoon on a party train, aka Amtrak w/beers
Fun: running in a new place tomorrow morning! Super psyched to include some tow path running and some miles around the monuments and around the Mall

QOD: black fine tip pen, I prefer the permanence of ink. Every once in awhile I'll get on a pencil kick but it's really only when taking notes at work. 
QOD 2: always standard pencil, I have a heavy grip and break through mechanical pencil lead like it's nothing ...well, it really is close to nothing but anyway, it's annoying to constantly break the lead.

Fun: Dh called the hospital about a bill we got for some xrays he had done this spring, and he got them to CUT THE BILL IN HALF.<img alt="banana.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/banana.gif">
The flip side of that though is if they would agree to do that so quickly, why don't they just charge that in the first place???
 
 
QOD: pen. I don't care about the color so much if it writes smoothly. Sometimes pens are scratchy. Don't like that.
 
QOD2: I want a regular #2 pencil. Generally if I"m using a pencil I'm drawing, and need to be able to shade and stuff. Mechanical pencils scratch & groove the paper too much to shade smoothly.
