Morning ALL.

I believe this still qualifies as 'wee hours' of the morning.

I have the day off from work but do intend to get a long run in - and some weights. I'm looking forward to being able to do what I want for as long as I want on a weekday, that is the only thing that sucks about mid-day workouts.

Kini - Hoping things get a bit better for you today, and every day, until it's ALL gone.

Duck! - Sweet photo on last nights thread! I'm jealous of that for sure, and just wait til you hear from Craney!

Wishing you all excellent runs, workouts and FRIDAYS!!!

Good morning.

I played around with the blockweight, a sledgehammer, and a dumbbell after dinner last evening. It's interesting how much more I can lift and rep now versus 6 months ago when I had been in the left lower leg cast for about 3 weeks. Breaking a leg was the best motivation I've ever had to work on improving the upper body strength.

Taking a rest day today, though. 5K race tomorrow, the weather should be good and I want to be rested for it.

Good morning Jen, Scratch, and all who follow.

Thank you all for the support and concern with my internet issues. I have managed to get back in to my main email account, and my domain is safe so I am getting things back to normal. No fraud on my paypal account thank goodness and since I only carry use American Express I am not too worried that account. I did order a new card number just in case. I did change all my log in information on Amex's website. My credit union does not put account numbers on their website and all you can do there is view a your balance, but I still called them this morning and had the web access shut off until I can go there in person and reset the user id and password. I have my fingers crossed that I caught it quick enough to avoid major disaster. I can't restore my yahoo, hotmail, or gmail accounts so any places I have those email addresses on file, I am switching over to a brand spanking new email address. If anyone needs/wants it pm me. My main email account logs ip address of for logins, so when I notified them of the problem they started working on it. Since I pay for that account their internet security department is involved.

Since I spent so much time messing with that garbage, my run tonight felt really good. I needed that physical outlet to help with the stress. I also needed an adult beverage or a dozen, but I have beer class Friday night and a birthday party at a bar on Saturday so I refrained.

Ok enough about me.

Crane - congrats on beating the kid. lol

Staci - I will keep your friend in my thoughts.

Baggio - congrats on the race.

Brandy - Sorry your race did not go well. Sorry to hear about the infection. Get well soon.

Prae - Congrats on your C25K finsh.

Clare - congrats on the return to running.

Timr - yep gas is a common use of a stolen credit card. The thief will convince people to give him cash in exchange for discounted gas and use the pay at the pump. Glad your Wednesday run was good. Congrats on the last minute 5k, even though you did no PR you still got out there and ran it.

Ailarie _ Yep I Amex. Only credit card I use. *whispers I work for them*

Jill - sorry your Thursday morning sucked. I hope Friday is better for you.

Jess - Your first 5k down. Great job!

KP - congrats to Tanya on the raise.

Cactus - I am not fond of cats either. Have you ever seen the movie "The Boondock Saints"? The cat scene cracks me up. (if you haven't seen it, the movie is bloody, violent and the word fuck is used over 250 times. It is not for the easily offended.)

Nettie - You are not letting Team C down. We understand injuries. Just get better soon teammate.

Moon - congrats on your first OWS swim.

Bard - excellent news on the raise.

HH - you don't have to leave. We like having you around. Right everyone?

Duck - Great picture. Oh gosh I never thought about wiping my computer. Shit. I do have a good firewall, my home network is secure, and I don't download anything other then music from itunes. I will have to see how much Best Buy will charge to do that for me this weekend.

That is all I have for the moment. I am heading to bed. Catch you all later.

morning party people!
got in a 3.5 run walk with pup yesterday. not really sure how to build him up.... think we might go somewhere and put in a serious hike together today and maybe a short run tonight.

thanks for the words of wisdom yesterday. i think i've got a plan (good for me!). Again, thanks for your help and honesty yesterday. AZ I particularly appreciate your insight into, you might just have to suck it up...somewhere I knew this.

In weird shit you see daily news: I think I heard my crazy back yard neighbor barking this morning...

Kini you're handling this like a champ, girl.
HH no one here cares where you're from...
KJ really hope you start feeling better!!!
Jen Remember the song F*ck the Police (you can imagine it was a favorite of mine...) today, think, "F*ck the Clock. Bring the boys to play and come have dinner........NOP. dammit.
TimCT your feelers better now?
BigG tell your kid, "boy you could fit a small woman in your pants...." he'll laugh...you can have a whole thing about smuggling small people into your house to eat his veggies. I used to do this with students and be like, "i know people just wishin' they could get into my classes...but smugglin' em in ya big old pants legs...." heh.

QOD In Honor of Jen and Duckie who do important stuff with days off: You get a suprise day off... What are you going to do?
On snowdays, we have a standing date with our friends Ruth and Lita to have breakfast together since we're awake anyway. As a teacher I get occasional surprise snowdays... If there is enough snow, I'm going snowshoeing. AND/OR I'm calling Detra who also might be having a day off and we're going snowboarding. VIOLATION If the weather is REALLY bad (like you're not allowed to drive) Im getting a shower, making extra coffee, putting clean jammies on and watching some kind of movie marathon (kevin smith, quentin, etc....) In the summer, if the weather is good... I'm going hiking and cooking something on a fire.

QOD - Cripes Mandy. You had to ask on a day I hadn't really planned to do anythign *important*.. .literally, my plan was to make breakfast for that friend of mine who fixes stuff for me, get my hair cut, and get in a good workout. Normally, I'd plan to do something, cuz NC is still pretty new to me there's still a lot to explore here, and NC has no shortage of parks and most have lakes. And I haven't made it the NC zoo yet, and rumour has it they have 3 baby lions. In the winter, I like to run when it's cold out, take a hot shower, put on clean jammies (like Mandy-sister), make a fire and drink hot chocolate or hot tea and watch either scary movies or any movies, really.
THis January, I hope to be taking a day or two off to try my hand (or ass more appropriately) at snowboarding again. Heh.

I'd feel like a slacker today, but I'm toooo happy to have the day off. Plus the guy that cuts my hair, one of my most favorite people on the PLANET.
Usually makes me laugh til I cry. Love him.

Later kids, puppy is trying to eat the remote.
He doesn't like the Today show, apparently.

I'm hoping to turn in a time somewhere between 30 and 31 minutes, especially since the weather is actually going to be pretty nice here for July.

F*ckin' with me cuz I'm a teenager...
With a little bitta gold and a pager...

Yeah, I listened to a lot of NWA when I was 17 or 18

I think it's so funny how much Ice Cube and Dre have changed since those days. Some might say 'sold out' - I think they just matured. Ice Cube went in an entirely different direction with acting. Dre is producing... Not sure whatever happened to the others. Well except for Eazy E... and that's a shame in and of itsself.

i always felt like their music didn't glamorize that lifestyle...think Ice T (who is totally on my laminated list) and 6 oclock in the morning. I am pretty impressed with those boys... Chuck D, too. I really like Chuck D.

Hey kids! No running to report, yet again!!!!

Went to see The Police last night. The Fratelli's (sp?) opened for them so I had to send a text to Auntie Moe!!!!! Sting is still sexy, the others looked their age but they still sounded amazing!!!! Oh Katholeenie...Sting said hi! hehehehe

Scratch a bunch of my friends are doing that race! I was considering it, might still show up, might just go to volunteer! So if you hear a crazy tall blond yelling "SCRATCH!!" it's just me. If I do go, I will wear my 30's shirt so you can spot me!

Just a little update on my uncle...um, yeah, my dad went to see him Wed, he was totally fine!!! Sitting outside reading the paper, like nothng was ever wrong. So after a long talk with my dad we decided to just take it all one day at a time, no worries and no stress. Enjoy every visit we get with him and never forget to say I love you when we leave. Thank you again for all your thoughts, you guys are amazing!

Tonight I am helping a friend prepare a presentation for a research class. But the topic is immunology, yuck! That's ok, we can BS it. Then we are going to throw some grub on the grill, sit on the deck and finish my assignment for beer class!!!

Hope our sick friends are on the mend, good mojo to the racers, and if you got any to spare, throw some out Sun for Theia's DH as he does IM Lake Placid and on Mon for Theia herself as she does her first tri!!!

Scratch - Good luck with your 5k!

Jen - Wow. The only (paid) person I look forward to seeing that much is the talented Heather, my massage therapist. How does laughing work with hair cutting? Seems dangerous!

Running - Yeah. Not yet.

Shoulder - F*ck it.

Mandaroo - take it slow with the pup....there must be a doggie C25k somewhere.

QOYD - One thing to change? Freckles. I don't have enough. I'd like some more freckles.

QOD - Surprise day off? I'd love to write that I'd do something fantastic and adventurous. Reality - I'd wander around in my PJ's for a while, surf the net, email about 20 people and then go out to lunch.

I don't know what it is about Ice T but I have always adored him!!!!! I heard an interview with him recently and he gave a really great explanation of his thoughts on his music and music and artist today. He is definately a worthwhile role model in his industry.

9:15 - how many hours till I can GTFO and start the weekend?! The weather here is awesome - supposed to be good all weekend. I'm riding with some friends tomorrow morning and then doing a 5k - they just opened a short new trail near my house and they're having the official opening tomorrow. The race starts literally a half mile from my front door - next month there's another 5k that starts about 0.8 miles from my front door! Ya gotta love races you can walk/jog to the start line! We'll see how tomorrow goes - I'm pretty fried from a lot of running the past two weeks (though I'm not as lazy as Baggs is) and the trail is pretty hilly. I'd be happy around 18:00 +/-15 seconds.

QOD If possible, take my wife to a movie - we never seem to get to do that without it being a big production with babysitters and all that. It would be nice to be able to go to dinner and chillax and then catch a movie without feeling like we're on the clock. Of course, this would be AFTER I do a 15-20 mile run so I could properly rehydrate with a barrel of salty popcorn and a bathtub-sized Diet Coke.

Kini In light of your horrible incident, last night picked a new 14 character pw (mixed upper/lower case and numbers) for all finanical related websites: paypal, ebay, insurance, etc, etc.

I then picked a new 15 character pw (same type pix of case and number/letter) for all forums like this, non financial (thus really little risk) sites.

I am glad I did this for several reasons. Over the last 10 years I have used about 5 or 6 main passwords and sometimes it gets confusing trying all of them when I forget. I had some written down but to now have two main pws simpifies things for me.

Kini I am glad you seem to have escaped with little financial damage. Any theft physical or virtual, makes you feel violated and used. I wish you peace of mind and success in getting this crap cleared up. Have a nice weekend. You DESERVE it.

Hello. Just finished my breakfast and I'll be getting ready for the gym shortly. Seriously. I thought I'd share the email I got this morning from Road ID. Wasn't someone saying they wanted to get one recently? Well, there's a 10% off coupon code you can use until Aug. 8th.

The site is: Road ID
The code is: PCJULY7

Anywho, planning on 4 on the TM and then arms- Voo's favorite. I think if I get on a schedule it'll will help keep me getting to the gym. After all, I always hate having to go after work during the school year so I should enjoy it while I can.

Brandy sorry your knee is still bothering you. Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon.

Lori how was the concert?

Mandy glad you've come to a decision. Remember. Not much longer..

Ok, gonna get a move on so I can get to and get back from the gym before noon!!!

Later.
