Morning Gang -

Was going to run 7 miles this morning, but there was a light dusting of snow and WC was -13, so decided not to risk injury this close to the marathon. I'll do some biking at the gym later today.

Woot to Jen and Rochey on those smokin HM times!

boB - what's your plan for dinner on Saturday? Someone recommended an Italian place that looks good, but a bit pricey. Capeo. I'm gonna call and see if they are having any marathon specials and if I would have a problem finding a seat at the bar and just ordering something light around 5:00ish. Let me know if you are interested, or if you've heard of any other good options. I want to avoid the pasta feed b/c part of the fun of being in new city, for me, is trying different restaurants.

Morning

3 quick miles yesterday before dinner with relatives in town. I could not get my butt out of bed this morning for a run at 5 a.m. before work. Jetting out of town after work - FL here I come! (and warm weather). We are visiting Tampa and Orlando :)

Good morning and Happy Friday!!

Could the snow. just. stop. PLEASE?

I went to a yoga class after work last night, I really needed it. My back and legs were just tight and I was ornery. The yoga practice itself was really good, I got into a 'hurdler' pose I'd never done before. But then during savasanah, the group waiting outside the room for the next class was hooting, cackling and laughing. There's a glass door so they could see that our class was in savasanah - deep relaxation, right? pfft. Really disrespectful. I was supremely annoyed. The instructor said it was good practice for tuning out those outside distractions. Yes well, if I wanted to do that I would do my practice at home. I made the effort to come to the class, putting off dinner for the family, etc. I thought the instructor should have done something, all it would have taken was for her to open the door and press a finger to her lips "shh". My body felt better after class but not my mind.

Doesn't look like I'll get a work out in today. But I do get to go to a Happy Hour after work. I could use an hour of happy.

I have no plans for Saturday. I also try to avoid the race sponsored pasta dinners. They aren't nearly as good as a restaurant, and like you, I enjoy trying new restaurants anyway. But I haven't really thought about it. I just figured I'd find something once I get there...

Yes, nice work on shrinking Brandy! (Did I mention I am supah jealous?)

I did not end up running again last night. I was dog tired and the boys wanted me to watch a movie with them so I opted up for snuggling with my boys and watching a fun movie. I slept in until almost 6 am and got out for 15 miles. My midweek long run was only supposed to be 12, but I am a little behind on my mileage this week and the roads are finally clear, so I decided to go for it. If it snows all weekend (as it is supposed to), I will have at least gotten some decent miles in. I was supah slow and I forgot my GU, but I am glad to have the miles in the books.

Does anyone know a real live email to get in touch with bob at? He needs to register for a party thing today or he'll have to pay $20. And I know he likes avoiding spending money. If someone knows it, let me know. Or shoot him an email telling him to check his PM on KR. thanks!

Are you guys calling me cheap?

I did get the emails and texts. Thanks. But I'm apparently already registered for the party. I got a 2011 Official Registration Confirmation email from the marathon a couple days ago, and in the email it says that I have an RSVP for the Post Race Party. I don't specifically remember registering for it, but I must've done it when I registered for the race...

Anyhoo, I did 40 easy minutes on the TM this evening. (I guess that's what I was doing when I was getting barraged by all these texts and emails. )

Hey all -- quick fly-by. Got to the pool for a short, but interval-filled, 1000yds today. Then I got home and found my new sportcount in my mailbox! Can't wait to try it out!

Good luck tomorrow, Ailarie!

Safe travels and enjoy the trip, Brandy and Baggs!
