Bleck. Weather was ugly yesterday. I took my after lunch walk, the pavement was just wet but in the trees about 6 foot above the ground ice would be forming on the branches.

I decided I didn't want to mess around with staying at the park after work, then driving home over icy roads in the dark if it cooled off any. Went home and rode the exercise bike for 45 minutes to give my legs a workout.

Think I might just rest today.

Mornin' Scratch. Yeah, it was an ugly day yesterday. I did manage to get the Y, however. I showed up at 5:00 and was told that they'd be closing at 6:00 due to the weather. So I ran for 40:00 (4.33 easy miles) and called it a night. It'll do...

What happened here yesterday? Another hacker? Are we now safe?

Here's a great story... Last night, I walked close to my cat and apparently startled her. She kinda freaked out and decided to flee. In doing so, she ran across my right foot. And her claws scraped my big toe up pretty good. I've got three pretty long scratch marks along the length of the toe.

It bled pretty bad for a few minutes, but it really doesn't hurt too much. Thankfully today is an off-day. But we'll see how it'll feel tomorrow when I attempt 16 miles or so.

Umm, that's all. TGIF...

Oh, I also joined RunningAhead last night. The CR logs are down, and since I'd been anticipating that, I had been exporting my log just about every day. I submitted that to the RA admin, so hopefully I can get my new log up and running soon. And I can become just as cool as some of you people.

Morning all.

Hope the site doesn't go down again today. I was going through withdrawal yesterday!

Got 4.5 on the TM again. Skipped the trainer, as I was pretty dang tired.

Rest night tonight, and then a 5k Sat. Morning at a Toys-for-Tots / Salvation Army run event.

That's pretty funny, the Saints are his backup team, just 'cuz.

Thanks, but I'm still pretty new to all this. I was just so happy to be done and there were no other women around me try to catch, so I was just coasting in. I think I looked better than I felt in those pictures.

I did my first 5k at the local turkey trot last November. I've done a handful of 5k's with my best at 20:40, one really bad 10k something like 48x (who wants to sprint for over six miles?--I need to better that one), 2 halves-1:36, and the one full at 3:32.

I one thing that I think I have going for me is I'm still getting a lot of bang for my buck in my training. I know that'll change soon, but I hope not too soon because I'm having a lot of fun.

As for today, just something easy, 5 or so. Glad the site is back up!

I WILL run today. Training has been lousy in the past two weeks, but that needs to change and will now that I have much more time.

KP has this crazy idea I have a 2 hour 1/2 in me for Madison. We'll see.

Sorry about the icy/snowy weather on the east coast, gang! Stay warm and dry and drive (or run) safely!

Nice to see you, Crane!!

5k on the tmill last night and pilates yesterday morning. Guess I used a few new muscles b/c my abs are talking a bit today. Love when that happens - makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something.

Yoga class was cancelled last night.

Another 5K tonight after girl's night out.

After a day off with a bug and a day being bored to tiny pieces in a conference room I resumed my running today. 4 miles in the chilly wind. I wish I would have timed myself. It must have been a good energy day because after the warm up lap when I started the run it was like I was running on air. Then of course I was pooped by mile 3, but hey I finished. That's all that matters.

Happy running to all today.

Morning Gang -

Did 6 miles on TM before work today. Hoping to get in a long run tomorrow, but work holiday party tonight, so that will depend on how many beers I drink tonight!

Bob - the Runningahead guy imported my CR log in less than a day. I like it way better than the CR log.

Crane - hopefully you have indoor running planned today. Five below now - very chilly!

Good runs to everyone!

Hey all:

Told the email list yesterday, but my xray was negative, which is good. I had to get off the prescription anti-inflammatory after realizing that it was burning new trails through my intestines! (I had been sick earlier in the week and wrote it off to that at first). 2 nights in a row sitting in the bathroom != happy tom.

I was hopeful that I would get some jogging in this weekend, but it doesn't look great now. I'm still pretty sore and by the end of the day my shin is pretty swollen just from the walking around. So, I'm going to wait until it is pain & swelling free.

Good runs today everybody.

Morning all - I did the same as Becca ...took a night off from working out/running and got some much needed Christmas shopping done. I will get out for some miles tonight and then head to the grocery store to stock up for a big baking day tomorrow

Melis - I'm with KP on your next HM ...go get 'em tiger!

JenRuns - Great race pictures!!! And excellent race times ...I'd love to run those.

Seven miles yesterday in a blizzard. Slow, but fun. It really tested my stablilizers as they were working overtime to keep my carcass upright for the duration of the run. BUT, I was too sore to do my evenig run. Now I need to retool my schedule
to get my miles in this week SO I have a total of 14 today.

Yesterday's weather called for 7-8 inches of snow but I'd say we were closer to 12-14. 12 more expected tomorrow. Yikes.

4 miles this morning...first morning all week we haven't gotten new snow, or freezing rain overnight. Lovely run in 26F. I can really tell that I've run maybe 7-8 times since Thanksgiving.

Crane - I think you can at least try for the 2 hour in Madison!

Mornin' all!!

Rest day today. 20 miles tomorrow. I actually feel a lot better than I expected. I ended up getting 5 miles on the treadmill yesterday instead of messing with the freezing rain.

I'll be happy to get this running week behind me. It's been a tough couple of weeks. Though, my hip seems to be less of an issue every day.

Bob - using runningahead right now, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the log on here looks like. It would be nice to only have to go to one website.

I ran this morning - a pretty funny event with some friends and co-workers. I copied from an email since I thought you guys might enjoy reading the recap:

http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/sho...650#post434650

5 on the TM last night. Off today.

Also did 35 minutes of walking with my new club after school yesterday. The Winter Fitness and Wellness club. (We're still working on the name.) 6 students and I talked about healthy choices in our life, stretched, a little yoga, and walked around the school. They had a blast (they're allowed to use their IPods) and they all said they'll be back for more next week. I get paid to do this! Crazy!!!

Tom - glad the leg's on the mend
