<p>My mom and her friend are coming in to town for the weekend this afternoon. While it's nice to see her, I'm glad her friend will be with her to keep her occupied. Is that bad?</p>

<p>Just curious, has anyone ever gotten stuck in a perpetual "virtual" loop where NONE of your options are "email a real-live person to help you with your issue"? I'm about at the end of my rope here...</p>

<p>Tip question for the ladies: Mom and I are getting our nails painted at a local salon. (So not my thing, but mom got a gift certificate, so .. we're going.) I'm not getting a french manicure or anything fancy. My nails are kept short because long nails screw up my typing speed. So... for just a painting service, what % is proper for tippage? 10%? 20? I'm clueless. I just know that I'm going to walk out with hopefully annoyingly bright orange nails for tomorrow's event, and in celebration of the Halloween weekend!</p>

<p>Solar, your post reminded me, I need to find my spider pendant to wear today (I took the morning off)...it's this silver spider my ex-h got me years ago when he went to Amsterdam, and I wear it once a year, to work, on or the last work day closest to, Halloween.</p>

<p>Opening night was great!!! People loved the show and we actually had about a 2/3 audience, amazing considering this is the Boston premier of it, no one knows the show, and it was a Thurs night. The juggler we got was great (I need to get a pic of this dude...loooooong single dread down his back, head shaved on either side, facial tats and piercings, wearing a top hat and a yellow and black striped vest I found for him. AAAWESOOOOOME.) It's a pretty sad story, but it's well acted and the tent really works! So great to have been involved.</p>

<p>After yesterday, with LOTS going on, today is just me and the (nowthankstoLitchsuperfast) computer, continuing the self-marketing and job hunting...</p>

<p>Yesterday, had a meeting at the YMCA to start volunteering. I'll be helping disabled Y members use the equipment in the weight room. There are many, many other opportunities there for volunteering, but I do need to stay focused on finding a gig.</p>

<p>Also - made a vegetarian meatloaf and a side dish of caramelized brussel sprouts and sweet onions last night. started the sprouts way too early, so they were a bit overcooked. Otherwise the whole thing turned out ok, I thought. </p>
