Easy 4 on the roads with RP this morning before heading off to Madison this afternoon for the Half tomorrow. The 4 felt good and the weather forecast for tomorrow morning is fairly nice... low 60s and maybe some rain.

Good luck tomorrow, zrun!

Yesterday I went to the greenway after work to get a run in. It was unusually empty, and I got spooked, so cut it short at 2.5 miles. I haven't gotten spooked on the greenway in a long time, so I was a little disappointed in myself. Today my only opportunity to run is in the afternoon, when it will be in the mid 90s. So I'm going to see how long I can stand the treadmill.

Easy little trot on the bike path. Needed to pick up the lawn mower at the shop which is just a stone's throw from the bike path, so good enough excuse for me! About a quarter mile into the run a girl stopped me and asked me if she was headed towards Antrim Lake. Uh, no, wrong direction! Someone had told her it looped around. Nope! It's a basic N/S and goes through some rather unsafe areas. She turned back around and we ran together for just a bit. 3m, 9:00pace, exactly what I was wanting.

zrun--GOOD LUCK!

4boysmom - were you planning on pushing the lawn mower back home for some strength training?

Jebba - better safe than sorry.

zrun - good luck, we are all counting on you. So what's the goal?

Looks like a TM run for me today. 5 or 6 miles depending on how my legs feel. Then it's CrossFit afterwork, rather than tomorrow morning, because DW will be out getting drunk having a good time with friends. I prefer mornings but it is what it is.

Asics--naw. I drove across town to run on the bike path. With gas so expensive, I can't justify driving some place to run. Mower is running MUCH better with a new flywheel and blade. Like it's actually CUTTING the grass and not threatening to self destruct from vibrations.

good morning everyone. I thought about chances this morning when I stopped my wath at 5.10 miles. It was by far my best run of the week, My back is actually starting to feel normal again.

Hey all, just sneaking in while it's still technically morning.

Not sure what I'm doing today or if I'll get anything in. Knee seems to be not real happy today. Hoping to do some type of XT and not put too much stress on it, but work's busy and I'll be headed to the ballpark this evening as the Phillies will be playing at their other home stadium, Nationals Park.

Good luck tomorrow zrun. And jebba, maybe it was a 6th sense thing and the greenway just didn't feel right for a reason.

Last year's HMs were 1:38 and 1:41, so we'll see if I can avoid losing ground. I never know what I'm going to get, but am feeling pretty good. I'll try to check-in tomorrow before we drive back. Good luck on the 'mill today, I use them so infrequently now I should get a discount from my health club. Thanks for the wishes, all, and nice runs out there/

Well, 6 miles on the TM. Sorry. I'm making the most of our work gym before the doors close at the end of the month (c/o the new world order) plus I forgot my Garmin. As for my real gym... crap... I hardly go there in the summer.

Dave - you are going to rip up that Ironman.

Hawk - bummer about the knee. Can you spin or swim? Looks like I'll be helping "pace" my SIL at Chicago... not quite the pace you'd have been running... hopefully it'll only be the last 10 miles or so else my legs will be trashed from the slow paced pounding.

zrun - sub 1:38 then.

kfuller - at times like that, you just report 5 miles to soothe Chances tortured mind.

Yes at least on the swimming. I did some of that earlier this week with no issues. Just haven't had time to get back to the pool. I'm thinking I can probably cycle/spin too, though I haven't actually had a chance to test that theory. I've done a couple of elliptical workouts lately, too. Not my favorite but they went smoothly.

I'd just give you my bib from Chicago and let you have a go, if it wasn't for their ridiculously restrictive policy (basically, no transfers. Period.).

Funny re: the slow pace pounding...back in the spring I did a 10-miler with DW at her pace. I was shocked at how much my legs hurt the next day.
