I almost wrote March in the thread title. It just as well could be. It snowed overnight and could still be snowing outside. I am wishing for some decent weather for a while. I am going to try for 5-6 miles this morning. It all depends on how much time I have to run.

Kev-that sucks. hope it warms/dries up for you. good luck with that run

I'm in need of a recovery run.Kinda sore from my last 2 runs... Had to jump over a ton of fallen trees on the trails yesterday. We've had some crazy winds here lately. I'd like to get in 5, but most likely will be 3.

kfuller - hopefully that is the end of the snow! Hope the 5-6 goes well.

BBS - have an easy one.

Bulls did not let me down last night, but the same could not be said of my running partners who both bagged on me this morning. Oh well, I got in 4.5 anyway in a couple of rainy trail loops and did not melt.

Morning, all.

Kev -- Been very precipitaty up here, too. Gotta watch for flooding along the greenbelt where I usually run. Enjoy your run.

BBS -- Take 'er easy.

zrun -- Bulls, 'eh? No NBA faves here. Sounds like you could use more dependable running peeps. Goon 'em mercilessly next time you see 'em.

Apple -- Those pics are something! Rest up and good luck.

Me -- Six GA yesterday, and six very easy today. Morning weigh-in was less than 180 for the first time in a long while. Tomorrow, I'm racing for the first time in six months -- the annual "Beat Coach Pete" 5K around the Boise State Campus. If you beat the football coach, you get a T-shirt reading "I beat Coach Pete." If you don't, it reads "I'll beat Pete next year." Banking on the former.

Morning all and TGIF!

My plans are somewhat up in the air but I'll get something in. I packed for some trails, hoping to go easy on them. If it starts raining heavily though I may bag that plan and just do some treadmilling. Either way 5-6 or so miles.

Kevin - hope you get some spring weather soon. And BTW congrats to your RSL boys, in the Concacaf Champions League final. This tournament doesn't get much attention in the US but it's a big deal in the rest of North/Central America, and it would be a very nice trophy to win. I hope they do it.

BBS - sounds like a trail adventure there. Wondering if mine will be like that too...could very well be.

zrun - you'll have to tell your buddies (but don't tell Chances, he'll get jealous) that Kara Goucher just happened to show up at the trail this morning for your run. That'll teach 'em to bag on you.

Apple - some pics. No more of you telling me I'm crazy. At least not until after I run North Face DC in June.

Chances - hope you have better luck trying to beat the coach than I've had trying to beat the (former) mayor of DC. I'll get him yet, though.

I feel like a total slacker. "Working" from home. Thinking about an easy 5 either at the gym or when the rain stops. But with sore legs and a race on Sunday I may bag that and hit up the race expo instead. However; the prospect of heading into the city to reach Navy Pier is not appealing at all. Have to do it today or tomorrow.

Chances - the question is, how fast is the coach and can you stiff arm him at the finish line with risking life and limb? BTW. We're all counting on you.

Hawk - have fun on the trail or treadmillalizating.

Apple - do they have awards for the muddiest and cleanest finisher?

zrun - nice job getting out there this morning. Go Bulls!

BBS - hope you get the 3/5ths of your run.

kfuller - snow? Good luck getting out.

Hawk- I am not a big follower of soccer, but I do keep up a bit on RSL. They have a very good team right now. I realize that winning the Concacaf championship would be a big deal to the soccer community. Maybe even ESPN would talk about it a bit. RSL has a very good team this year. The local papers have talked about how the rest of MLS is rooting for RSL to do well as it would mean some great exposure for MLS and U.S. soccer.

I got out for a nice 5 miles in 44:57. It was nice to get out, but I am done with the snow for the year. I am ready for shorts and short sleeve shirts.

Hawk -- For a minute, I really believed Kara did show up. Little thick, sometimes.

RA -- Rumor has it Coach Pete runs a 25 to 26-minute 5K. I'm not in great shape, but should be okay. He also donates $5 for every person who beats him.
