Tax day. Son1's B-day. Friday. And no real reason to have a BCOD day, but here I be. :)

Hawk -- Great job on your repeats yesterday. If you get the chance, please wish Tonya the best of luck Monday.

Me -- Did a short tempo in my minimalist shoes Tuesday that felt great, but gave both my achilles quite a jolt. Wednesday off, six yesterday, ice and massage, and they're feeling better. Six more today. Got my eye on a half thirteen weeks hence.

"Hence?" What is it, 1872?

Good ones to all.

Good morning chances. I am going to get out for an easy 5 miles today. Tomorrow they are having the Salt Lake City Marathon. The course goes by my house, so I will run part of the route and watch the runners go by. It should be fun if they have some fast runners this year.

Roberto- No more condensing of weekly runs into 1 post. This is a daily thread.

Kevin- good luck with the 5 today. So, are you one of those people sittin in a lawn chair drinking a beer while all the half dead runners stagger by?

I am feeling better today.... well, up until I got forced to go in early again tonight... Legs feel pretty good as well. Real bad weather here, so I'll have to squeeze in a TM run today. Maybe I can tough out 4-5 if something good is on TV

I was planning a grueling but beautiful 11.2 on the Flying Monkey course, but the weather predicts thunder, lightning, and all sorts of nasties. It's perfect tornado weather. So I guess I'll be dreadmilling it, too.

Missed my morning run, so planning an easy 5-6 at lunch on a route that's downhill and with a 24mph wind at the beginning, and then against it on the way back. Chances - take care of thine achilles - and hope everyone has enjoyable runs.

BBS- That would sound fun, but I will be out running on the course for my 8-10 miles on Saturday. Will most likely pass people as I am going the other direction. I hope you and Jebba can stay away from the tornadoes.

I got in a nice 5 miler this morning. 5 miles 43:03(8:36). Now time for some stretching etc... Enjoy the morning everyone.

Good morning all. It has been a while since I posted here, but I have been reading through everynow and then.

Chances - Great job this morning

Kevin - Have a great 5 miler.

BBS/Jebba - sorry the weather is not good, hope the TM run goes well for you.

zrun - Hope you have a great lunchtime run.

Me - 10 miles this morning at 65%HRR. I planned on trying to maintain a 8:10 pace and it all workout just fine. It is tough to run by pace and HR at the same time.

Happy Training everyone.

Hey gang. Good to see Dave pop in.

RA, I've discovered that as I get older, there is never a good reason for me to be up at BCOD but it happens more and more.

Looks like it's a good day for a fiver around here. Good runs everyone.

30 minutes on the TM for me and now off to all of my little tasks that must be done before leaving tomorrow. See you all when I get back!

Seasonable day around these parts. 50s and of course, windy. I packed for some trails after work this afternoon. Which trail I decide to run is yet TBD.

Chances - fourscore and seven years...oh never mind. Yeah, I've got get to get over to FB and wish all my Boston Marathoner friends good luck. Nice run this morning. Keep in mind the minimalist shoes are supposed to train you more for midfoot striking and there will be an adjustment period as you move away from the old clunkers. My calves were pretty tight for a while when I first started wearing the Kinvaras, but that's getting better over time. Even now I still keep a pair of Adidas Response Cushions around for my super easy days.

kevin - have fun watching the marathon tomorrow

zrun - nice job this morning, good luck with the race this weekend. I just jumped into an 8k myself but that's not until next weekend.

jebba - you're a day ahead of us on the nasty weather. That's what we're getting tomorrow, perhaps without the tornado stuff.

Dave - good to see you pop in here, sounds like your training's right on track.

BBS - work sucks. Universal truth. Hope you get the TM run in.

Jill - get those to-do's done. No more procrastinating.

Missed my run yesterday as I was too busy at work plus I've been feeling like crap this week. Hopefully get something very easy today with this stupid 10 mile race tomorrow am. Weather looks sucky - windy and rainy.

Hawk - nice job on the milers. Don't get lost on the trail.

Jill - you are going to smoke Boston

Dave - looks like the IM training is going well.

kfuller - nice job on the 5'er

zrun - yeah, windy as heck outside. Have fun!

Jebba - perfect weather for indoor running

BBS - take it easy man

Chances - flatter shoes will work your lower legs like crazy...

FYI: Tonya is shooting for a sub3 after putting in 100 mile weeks...

MTA: 5 miles on the TM. Booked hotel for NYC marathon and got a flight via airmiles. Woohoo!

Well, no trail run this evening, but I got out for 8.75 on the thoroughfares of Fairfax City after getting home. Boy it was windy out there...not exactly what you would call a comfortable 52 degrees. Short sleeves, but windbreaker vest and gloves. Oh, and a reasonably easy 7:42/mile pace.
