Good morning all.

10 miles on the canal path for me this morning. Saw a huge snapping turtle floating in the canal. Other than that, pretty uneventful, but pleasant (although a bit warm again today).

Loopy - now that's something I have never seen on a run.

Hit snooze and got through 3.5 miles on the treadmill before abs class. Raining here, but weekend looks like ideal running weather.

loopy--I envy you being able to run trails.

zrun--nice job on the dreadmill.

Major suckage for me this morning. 70* and stupid humid at 6:30 this morning. Only 12 on tap for today, so opted for the neighborhood route x3. And since it was only 12, I decided I didn't need to worry about nutrition/hydration. Okay, 'nuf said... I was holding about a 9:00pace until m10, then things just fell apart. Walked it in from m11.

zrun-Running in the rain is optimal! It's awesome!

loopy-great job this morning.

Mom-sometimes you have those. Glad you got through it.

Did work in the weight room again...not sure what's up next week, but circuits are really helping m mental toughness right now. Plus I think I'm packing on more pounds, but they always seem to disappear once I go back to normal lifting. Either way...I am feeling quite strong and am starting to keep up with the sprinters I lift with!

Loopy - What is a snapping turtle?

zrun - Nice going with the TM and ab work.

4boys - I love it..."only 12"

Alex - That workout you posted yesterday sounded cool but killer. Your brother a Pharmacist?

Regular rest day today. Started the increase in meds yesterday afternoon which was not such a good idea since thyroid meds make you feel wired. A little trouble getting to sleep. Started full new dose today. Should take 2-3 days to kick in. Regular rest day today. Should be back at it manana.

Woke up to a lot of rain and wind. It was bad outside too. Anyway, headed out around 6:30am and got in 6.4 miles. 70F w/ 98% humidity as per weather.com. Felt like crap. Earlier this week I must have slept funny I have a very sore middle to upper back but just on the right side. Today it'd spread to the front. Great. Feels like I've been in a car crash. Anyway, slogged it out.

BBS - soon 15 miles will not seem so far...

Dan - I bet you'll get a lot done...

Alex - just make sure you neck isn't wider than your head.

4boysmom - snap on the weather! Not so on the distance.

zrun - yep, it was nasty out. I considered driving to the gym and running on the TM but decided to sleep another hour instead.

Loopy - I remember the good old days when you ran 8 miles every day. I guess 10 is the new 8. The other week, I saw a turtle crossing the road a long way from the river. Seemed to be heading towards the bus stop.

Good morning everyone. My run today was tough. I need to work better on the pre run hydration etc... I have done this route before, but I just felt dead until the last 1.5 miles. 6.5 miles in 57:37(8:51). Well the run is done and I can now relax for a bit and recharge.

Dan- I hope the meds help out.

Nice job on all the running and such in the rain, sunshine and other such weather.

Good morning everyone!

Some good runs so far this morning. Hot and humid here just like most of you all.

My nutrition was way off this morning or I guess I should say probably yesterday. My eating habits has been horrible lately. Anyhow, 20 this morning, I ended up bonking during mile 17 and by mile 20 I was down to walking tenth of a mile and then running 1/2 mile. It was bad, but it is in the books. average pace: 8:10. Better today than race day.

Happy training everyone.

Morning all,

Another hot day here today, and I'm still in rehab mode. So I am hoping to take up Jebba's advice from earlier in the week and hit the fishbowl sometime this afternoon. That is, if I can get away from the office, where a bunch of issues are snapping at my heels like that turtle Loopy saw. If I can escape, I'll try to put in 40-45 minutes of consistent laps, for however many yards/meters that is.

Dave - sweet set of wheels!

kevin/4bm - nice job on the runs, way to tough it out at the end

RA - yeah, nice "fall" weather we are having

BBS - good luck on that 15 tomorrow!

Dan - Enjoy the rest day, hopefully you can relax

Alex - you keep hanging with sprinters, and now it sounds like you're starting to look like one...planning to pop a 200m PR this indoor season?

zrun - nice little run. I don't mind running in light rain. Heavy downpours can get a little tiresome after a few miles though.

loopy - 10 on the canal path, as sure as the sun will rise and set.
