"That" doesn't sound very responsible. I am here at work, thinking about work, and working very hard, with only my employer's interests in mind.

See you later, can't waste time playing, or running.

How come we have to be responsible today?

Hope everything turns out ok with DD Pirate. I'm sure you'll keep us posted.

Pro - Millbot says you can't take any breaks at work today. Such a taskmaster. Did we vote for him?

14 miles this morning at 8:37 avg. Goal was to cover these miles in 8:45's considering all were on rolling terrain. 1st two in 9 mins ea so picked up a little. 70 degrees and wet air. Not too bad for here. All before sun up or under cloud cover.

Hally - I saw your post about merging threads yesterday. Honestly, I'm not the brightest crayon in the box. I couldn't figure out which 2 threads you merged. It doesn't take much to keep me happy and you're doing it.

Tomwhite... DD2 in labor? {{{{DD2}}}

I am not running today. However, I am going to a running club potluck after work and then on to another party after that. Last night my yoga instructor asked what we wanted to work on. I said "quads" meaning I'd like to do some nice stretching for them at some point. He thought I meant strength stuff for quads so we ended up really working them hard. While my quads weren't sore from my last HM, they are probably going to be sore tomorrow from yoga. Note to self: Improve communication skills.

Did some work not checking in....
Hally.. merged posts? seamless!
JJJ... we'll both be runnin trails tomorrow.. GL!

4 miles this morning with Tory. Finished with 6:40's (no, that was finished at 6:40 am).
What to do tomorrow for the 30K trail race.... NOT IRC. 68 start, quickly climbing to 80's. I wilt above 50's. My original plan was to follow my training plan which called for 17 with 14 at MP. But 70's is too warm for MP. So the plan will be progression run and stop at each aid and drink 2 cups water. Then "progress based on how I feel. It will be interesting. Hope the foot holds up. It will be a 30K Race PR if I beat 9:24 pace (2004).

oh, this is my plyometric training:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jquXcwooV6A

Nice Training Vid Perch.

Good Luck on the PR attempt,
We gotta remenber electrolyes. I can stomach Succeed Clip2; it has a little protein. Not so critical for 15M, but a good training distance.
I don't know what my course profile will be yet, Loop course; 1,2 or 3 I'm not sure.
I have seen the mountain from a distance though.
tomwhite, how exciting! Yes, updates, pls.

Steve, GL with your race. I think that PR's toast. Great video. There are times I wish I had pursued modern dance or ballet (or what they're doing), although judging from that, there would likely be no running now as the joints would have been pummeled into a powdery dust.

choovie, make sure you balance those now hulking (but svelte and feminine) quads with some hamstring strengthening too.

JJJ, GL with your trail race. No crawling. Give 'er.

Champing at the bit to run, but plan says rest, so responsible thing to do is keep working on work (I've turned it into a game) and making the house look like a mature person lives here (for my mother who's visiting tomorrow).

Next 4-week plan looks fun. First track w/o of the year coming up!!!!

The point is to sound responsible. Also, I did not claim to be any good at it. I'm just the messenger.

hally, I was going to merge those threads, but you beat me to it. So I am ticked off.

{{tomwhite's DD2}}

{{choovie's quads}} ... um, wait, I mean {{choovie's communication skills}}

Perch, those plyometrics will not help your sore foot.

Good luck on the trails, guys.

tomwhite....under the "dd2" circumstances, I won't be offended. Hope everything goes well.

Mod.....Pickles thinks I'm a bad influence on her husband. Neither of us had to ask her for bail money the last time we got together, so I'm not really sure why.

TripleJ.....good luck racing tomorrow. Bays Mountain correct? I know a couple of area runners are coming up. Should be great weather.

Perch....good luck on your race. I'm envious of everyone running the trail races. I was scheduled for a trail event next weekend, but other obligations have caused a scratch and I'm not happy about it.

hoovie...party on.

and yes...I am posting after all......I figured if I can impersonate a pirate, and a bahston social climber....I could make an effort at a responsible adult. A weak effort, but an effort.

I had a great run this morning. First I ate, then went to the eye dr (monitoring developing glaucoma), then I ran. Perhaps the delay from eating --> running made a difference? Unknown, but I'm happy that it went so well.

I walked 5 mins, ran 25 then accidently hit the "stop" button on the treadmill, then ran another 7, then walked 5 mins to cool down. During the run portion, I sped up and down a little bit and did a couple of low inclines. Felt triumphant afterwards.

Happy start to the weekend....I have to work tomorrow but I'll get to run Sunday.

Slowly but surely, I find myself migrating over here. Doesn't do you lot much good, as I haven't actually run a step since Monday, but there it is. A Responsible Adult does not go to the office while feeling punky and spread her germs about. Neither does she get hung up on some arbitrary Lifetime Low monthly log number and go running even though she feels lousy.

Or does she?

Sounds like Choovie's having the time of her life tonight.

Soucalina, I'm starting to think that if I can't run at Portland, maybe I should go shopping. What to do, what to do?
