Nice score on the free shoes, ks! How'd you manage that? So... your run today felt good? Good news about Julie's leg, hope that trend continues.

Not much to report here. Looking forward to the three-day weekend. Things are pretty busy at work; my boss took another job in Anchorage so we're scrambling to cover the bases and keep things moving along. I'll get in a short RAL today, or might be talked into a gym workout with DH. We'll see. Planning a 20+ miler on the Equinox course this weekend (which day will probably be determined by the weather forecast). Two weeks to go!

Enjoy your LR this weekend, Erika!

Glad to hear you did that hilly 10, KS. Feeling a bit better?

I'm going away to a friends' cottage tomorrow, and was pretty sure trying to fit a LR into the weekend's partying would be considered rather anti-social, so took the afternoon off work and went out this afternoon. Unfortunately, it's the hottest and most humid it's been in about 3 weeks, but got in a good 9.75 miles of trail none the less. Did a bit more walking than I'd have liked, but at least it was time on my feet. When I changed in the parking lot at the trail head before going off shopping, I could wring water out of both the shirt and bra I was wearing,

Got a good laugh at work.... work friend who just took up trail running is all jazzed about upping his mileage this fall. Was getting in his first 40 minute continuous run last night with his dog, came zipping around a corner in the woods and surprised a couple in the act! You just never know what you're going to see out there!!

Have a wonderful long weekend everybody!

Will check in when I get back.

Well, Heme is starting her debauchery. Be careful

Hi Erika. Who did I get the new kicks? My local Fleet Feet store owner and I have become friends over the years. He sponsors my master's beach to bay team with FF logo's. Sometimes when he picks up a new shoe line or another brand I wear changes models he will ask me to wear them and tell me what I think. I've killed a couple shoes he used to carry. :) And until recently I was a top 1-3 master in the area.

My run this morning was ok pace wise but it was still more effort than should have been. My breathing is a bit easier last two days but something doesn't feel right and I'm going to make sure I get checked pretty good even though some improvement.

Re job/office changes. They are disconcerting when some leadership leaves and new leadership comes in.

Going to go spend 3 hours with the youths tonight when dw gets home from her hair appt.

Nothing today....worked in the morning.....saw a woman run by who looked a lot like Tamster (but she wasn't )

Went hiking yesterday...drove down to northern Calif and hiked to the summit of Mt. Eddy (9025'), the highest point in the continental United States located west of Interstate 5.....how's that for a qualifier. I can't believe people come up with that kind of stuff. Didn't see any bears, HappyFeat, I don't have to leave home to see 'em though. Didn't see any amourous couples either Heme......as a matter of fact, except for at the trailhead, didn't see a soul all day.

I'm thinking I'll be making an appointment with the podiatrist re:my foot. It's a lot sorer from yesterday's 12 mile hike than from running. Didn't even think to wear the pads and I'm sure my boots have seen better days as well.

Happy Labor Day (to any Union member).....Happy long weekend to the rest of you.

Sweet deal on the shoes, ks. Once again it proves it pays to know the right folks!

Have fun, Heme! You too, tomwhite, although I don't think anyone needs to tell you that.

Nice easy 4 miler at lunch. Seems like it was the best part of the day, too, as the clouds have moved in and it's much cooler now.
