Morning all.

Liam - no baby yet?

Did not run my double last night. This heat is getting the best of me. This is the worst spring for heat ever or I'm just getting too old to handle it. Ran 8.25 this morning slow slow slow. Usually run 10 on Fri and was considering 15.

Oh well. off to San Anonio this evening to spend Fri and Sat with my daughter, son, and daughter in law for father's day. Hopefully a change of scenery will make for a good run in the morning.

Carry on.

Hi ks!

You can't beat yourself up doing the mileage you do in that heat. Take it easy, winter is right around the corner.

I'm so proud of our Ice Princess. Awesome marathon Erika! Congrats.

I want a massage tx too!

I've been very busy at work and barely have time to keep up with you guys, but I'm doing my best. And it doesn't help that DW is in Orlando with her sisters for 10 days. Boy, do I miss all the domestic support.

Ran 14 miles today, 8:15 average pace, with a hugh negative split. Upper 60s to low 70s and humid, but I won't complain.

Hi Mike, and thanks! It was a really good race, one you wish you could put on replay every now and then.

KS, you still run amazingly well in the heat. I was impressed with the heat in AZ, and I could run in it (not smart or energetic enuf to get up early so was running between 10 and noon most days), but it sure made me thirsty! I don't normally run with water but figured out how down there.

HappyFeat, are you dealing with sciatica? Sounds kind of like it. BTDT, if that's what it is. Take it easy and let it heal (although sounds like you're doing that). And yes, I tend to avoid the non-alcoholic potlucks when I can.

Just a super short day at work this morning, then DH and I are driving down to Anchorage, just the two of us. It's a quick trip though, we'll be back tomorrow afternoon/evening. This is Solstice weekend here in Fairbanks (ok, Anchorage too but we get more daylight than they do!), and the Midnight Sun Run 10k starts at 10 p.m. tomorrow. No speed goals this year, just completing another race in our summer series.

Hi all

Hectic day for me but I managed to get in an hour of trail running before getting called out to babysit the contractor. I hate these construction jobs but it's the only way to make real money doing what I do. Oh yeah.....one hour of sleep last night. Will be taking "drugs" (no worries, OTC, but I like to think of the old days every now and then) to make sure I sleep good tonight.

Dam near 6 miles in 1 hr exactly...not to much direct sun where I run, but it's starting to turn into summer here. Over 80° today.

Take care old man Ks.....nice to see Mike & Erika back.....and a big salute to the Model of Perserverance

Hi Johnny - Good start to your day running the forest trails.

Yeah, we've discovered the OTC sleep aides too - DH takes either benadryl or chlortrimeton on a regular basis - usually chlortrimeton since there's no morning grogginess with it. After decades of insomnia, it was a relief for him find a solution. He may be onto a more permanent solution though since I think he may quit work altogether - and we'd live on my paycheck alone - yikes! ouch! It's not the best timing because I think I can only get him onto my insurance in Dec. and I think he has to currently have insurance to switch to mine.

Heading out the door now to run on gray, kinda drizzly morning. TTFN
