Well I definitely will be doing some core stuff and others to try and supplement my incredibly low runnign scores for the VRAA that starts today.

Well calves are still nice and tight...I always seem to run out of time to roll them with the Stick so I think tonight I'm definitely going to make some time for that plus like 15 minutes so I can give them a nice little deep tissue massage. If only I could go and get an actual massage. Most likely very easy practice before we help out at the junior high meet. Next week I am unsure of what to do. We have a meet on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. I think I'll probably do the 1600/3200 on Monday, do whatever feels comfortable in the 1600/3200 at the home meet on our crappy asphalt track, and go for some good times on Thursday once again.

Good luck with all those points people!

Alex. What you need is a romantic interest as a running partner with whom you can trade off duties on those deep tissue massages.

5.1 miles today at slower than recovery pace.

Good runs all...

3 problem-free miles on the treadmill this morning , followed by just over an hour of spinning class and stationary cycling.

WTPJ - No we're right in central Wisconsin and I think the only Saturday meet we ever go to is our Conference one. Would be cool though, hope he does well.

Grizzly - Our school gets foreign exchange students all the time and this year we have this German who is an amazing volleyball player and high jumper. He usually volunteers to give people massages so I got a nice leg massage on the ride home last night. Still...I think I like doing it myself better, he doesn't dig quite hard or deep enough into the tissue but I almost fell asleep it felt so good.

What's up Mikey...the cold still lingering or what you had earlier? Get better soon buddy.

Nothing too exciting on my end--just a four mile recovery run around the neighborhood. Perhaps I should liven up my runs by going by the Woodmoor Witch's house. After a few scary encounters last year, I stopped running down that street. But wow...that sure did add some excitement to my early morning workouts.

1 hour on the stepper. My coach seems to think i love it more than i really do. She wrote on my schedule: "Friday one hour stepper, i know you love this workout!"

Then i did three mediocre MANLIES for wtpj and then 3 sets of 15 girlie pushups, abs, and arms. I must say, my arms are looking very nice.

Alex - Lingering cold - yes - not the reason - Had 3 beers last night and it is the price that training pays for beer drinking. I find them in direct conflict.

22.3 miles, same pace as my last marathon and I felt awesome!

if I recover well, I'm right on track. My morning HR has been extremely high, but I went to bed at 8:30 last night to get 9 hours of sleep.

I was suppose to help Bingo do his MP run tomorrow, but I do not have his phone number - The one listed is disconnected.

Are you seeking revenge on the 1/2M in Wausau next weekend?

I feel like I should stay away from that race - Not sure why, but I just want to make a good run of 5 weeks of strong training - Races always have a chance at messing with my phsycological state and I feel good right now.

I am awed by all you fit people. I managed 3.1 miles in 33:20. Tomorrow I volunteer at mile six of the Country Music Marathon. I imagine I'll feel a little envious of the runners. In any case, it's all worth it to have my little guy. He's one month old today!

Jebba - You are at a great place - Don't envy big miles - It is an addiction - A beast that needs to be fed - 30+ minutes is a "Healthy" workout - Be proud.

Mile 6 is also a great place - The people will be in a great mood yet and look fresh and fast. Plus you should be done in plenty of time to go watch the elites hit the finish - If you want.

I'm taking races off my schedule like mad. (my schedule is way out of whack because "someone" thought Grandma's was a week later). I had crazylegs for this weekend, but I really needed this MP run to get my confidence back up, that half in Oshkosh did a number on my psyche. I'm going to wait until Green Bay to hopefully redeem myself.

Hmmm, you did have a good 1/2 early, I'm not sure if I'd mess with the Wausau half the possiblity of a bad race. Your fitness usually gets better as you get closer to your marathon, I'd probably bank on that knowledge and know that you are already a little ahead of the game.

Two WOWS and for different reasons to Fox-runr and Jebba.

Sue, you're an inspiration, always have been, always will be. Great mileage, great attitude.

Jebba... you're only weeks after delivery and you're out there running and training again.
