Todd, I looked through Wed and Thurs threads and don't see mention of your fall.

It's still brutally windy here today. Not that I intended to run in it anyway.
It's supposed to be a rest day but with VRAA in session might do something anyway. Maybe swim as it's the weekend bonus.

Roy, very nice 12 miler. Your training is going well.

Last evening I noticed a slight twinge in my right calf muscle when I walked around. Strange, as I ran an easy recovery run yesterday. At any rate, with all the skiing and running I've been doing my calves are like rocks right now.

The calf is nothing really and it's nearly non-existent this morning. But I decided to forgo today's planned 10 miler with negative splits. Tomorrow is another recovery day before Sunday's LR. So tomorrow will help it too.

I've been hoping to up the weekly mileage into the high 60's for the last few weeks before taper. But not this week. I'd rather stay injury free.

Good morning everyone.

Todd, quick recovery wishes. How did you fall?

Roy, Nice 12 to start the day.

Hally, Cold and windy in MA today too. Walking from the car to the pool this morning was nasty. I was tempted to turn around and go home.

2000 yds swimming this morning. Bike this afternoon. More of the same tomorrow.

I had my MRI last night, but can't see my doc for a week. My knee feels pretty good right now so I might try a few cautious miles tomorrow.

Enjoy the day.

Morning all. Nice 10 moh this morning in irc. 50 degrees, low humidity, and no wind. Doesn't get any better than that in CC.

Todd - What kind of fall?
JJJ - no vraa pts for driving
tnally - wish I could swim the distances you do. I'd have drowned long time ago if I tried. How far you riding?
Hally - hi
Jogger - nice run
Todd and Breger - using the old noggin - good!

Lawn mowing and car washing next then a bike ride in the afternoon when it warms up a bit.

Hope you feel better soon, Todd.
Beergeur, smart move. Take the long view.

I took yesterday completely off because I'm fighting another cold, for which I hold no one in Van 1 personally responsible. But I'm feeling a little better today, so I did 5 easy, untimed miles with 6x100m accelerations up to roughly 800m pace. Thinking about quick light strides, good body position, smooth arm carriage.

1-3" of snow in the forecast for later today. I guess Mother Nature missed the memo on spring.

A rest day for me today. It's also Good Friday, a holiday, so I'll take the kids down to the pool this afternoon and we can all play. Friends are coming for dinner, so I am co-opting Vivian and asking her to shape this place up.

KS,

I'm trying to do 20+ miles / ride, but yesterday was only 15 due to leaden legs. The swimming is easy. You just have to remember to breathe when your face is out of the water. This is important.

Good morning. I did a light workout this morning. 1 mile walking w/u & c/d, then running 2 miles, then 15 agonizing minutes of abdominals & stretching.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone.

Nice run, Roy.

The tile installers originally said they'd be done Wednesday. Now they might be done Saturday. I want my house back!

I ran 1/2 mile and ran/walked another mile. Then I consoled myself with a core and lower body workout.

Ran to work again. Forgot to pack my jacket and it's COLD today! It snowed last night, even. Brrrr!

No short-hair photos. Meh, it's nothin' special -- a bit below the chin but way off the shoulders (yep I am a giraffe).

Mornin' all!

Nice and sunny today for the start of the Easter long weekend, but the temps are still not expected above freezing until into next week. Only a few patches of lawn and garden are showing thru the snow yet.

Ventured out for a cold 2 easy miles with the foot taped, walking up the hills for safe measure. So far so good. If there are no after effects, may try walk/run for 3 on Sunday. The tech at physio scared the hell out of me with the electro therapy yesteday, cranking up the current too high and putting my foot into a spasm. Thankfully no damage done, but cripe!

Top of the Mornin' to you all!

Thanks Dale for the comments on my avatar. Unfortunately, unlike the other hawt wimmen on this board, I had to steal my avatar from the running skirts website - it's not really me no hot avatars of the real me

ok - so last night I had this dinner function to go to so had to rearrange my 5 mile run to today during lunch. I found out what a lightweight I really am now. I had 1.5 glasses of chardonnay over the course of 2 hrs - with a big dinner - and had a buzz going after only 1/2 glass of wine. Sheesh - I haven't had any alcohol for quite a few months now, so I guess it's pretty apparent. I'm normally pretty quiet and reserved at work and rarely socialize with my co-workers - I'm just not a happy hour/bar type gal and working with a bunch of young attorneys - well, that's what they like to do. So not only was everyone suprised that I attended this function last night, but I guess I was pretty comical too. Or at least they thought so - since that's a side I usually don't show at work.

Ok - back to reality - I'm running 5 on my lunch hour today and will do my long run of 18 tomorrow. Fortunately, it's supposed to be partly cloudy and low 60's tomorrow, then turns to cold and rain from Sunday onward.
