Good morning,<br><br>
I know it's way too early and most of you will still be in bed for several more hours but it's Friday in most places now!<br><br>
I only have to work 3a-7a tonight after all. The triplets and twins we're awaiting aren't here yet so they didn't need me early.<br><br>
Went to see The Spirit of the Marathon last night and it was every bit as excellent as everyone said. Two huge thumbs up. Now, if I could have kept from getting lost in New Orleans, the trip would have been a lot better!<br><br>

I got a call at 4:35 am that we have a snow day today. WTF?!!! I mean, I don't mind the day off right now, but I'm surprised we're closed today. And good morning everyone! It's a gorgeous day out there...from in here, at least. I think it's supposed to warm up from yesterday. So there's bad weather on the way? Usually when you guys get it, we get it shortly after.<br><br>
The girls are getting together tomorrow night. I haven't been out in ages. I don't even have anything funky to wear. Not like that's gonna stop me. I need a night out like you wouldn't believe.<br><br>
I read that Spirit of the Marathon will have some Canadian dates...so I'm hoping it comes somewhere close to here so I can go.

Ugh! Snow day here too. That means DD1 isn't going to school, which means DH is taking the truck to work, which means I can't go to the gym. And today was going to be my return to running after being benched for 2 weeks. Oh well. Tomorrow.

All you snow day peeps are so lucky. <img alt="sad.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/sad.gif"> It's a miserable gray, rainy, cold, windy day here. I've been waking up and hearing the rain outside the window all morning. I'm not gonna even bother to do my hair because it will just get wet walking to my car and into school. Going to a "girl's night in" birthday party (martinis and Sex and the City videos apparently). I hope it's not too late of a night because I am beat from this week. I can't wait till Spring break! (6 weeks away someone said yesterday!)<br><br>
Ok, I just saw the weirdest commercial- it was the "incredible egg" promo and they showed the last bit of a race (marathon? no idea) and there were all the folks running and one was a huge egg. After they crossed the finish, they egg cracked and a lady runner popped out with them saying "the incredible edible egg!" and something about protein and they showed an omelet.... I'm thinking most runners don't eat that before a race!! Odd...<br><br>

Snow day here too which would be great EXCEPT for the fact he DW never made it home from St. Louis yesterday. Her afternoon flight was cancelled and she couldn't get on another one. She's on a 6 AM flight this morning which is still on the runway - says it's delayed an hour but with the snow we're getting here I'll be surprised if it takes off anytime soon. And as I'm typing this she just e-mailed to say it was cancelled. <img alt="sad.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/sad.gif"> She's now trying to get to Baltimore.

Both kiddos were well enough to go to school today. Life should be back to normal.<br><br>
To those of you with snow today, be careful. For once that particular storm by passed us. We will have a weekend filled with sun. Not very warm, but not any snow.

Ok, so there's a bunch of snow and messy roads out there. Apparently the area where my school is (abt 15 mins from me) got the most snow in South Jersey. It's all fluffy right now -- the kids must be loving it because this is the first real snow we've seen this winter.<br><br><b>Jill</b> - if you can't get to the gym, have a snowball fight or go for a walk in the snow -- you'll get your heart rate up! <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"><br><br><b>Kp and Nettie</b> - I'm not a huge snow fan. It was freezing rain this a.m. and all the schools are closed. Well, all the K-12 schools anyway, not us. Fortunately I did not have to hack ice off my car, it glazed over the snow that was already on the car, so easy enough to knock off.
