cgerber - thanks for the Garmin advice. I will try it today! It did acquire when I was setting it up but never again after that and I'm trying to think if I was wearing it when I tried again to take it on my run. It may be so!
I traded todays DOR for yesterdays run so I'm out for 3 or 4 this morning.
Tomorrow is a new long run. Going to try 7.
I have officially hit 40 lbs. lost since October 15th. I'm pretty excited about that, though I have about 30 to go. I hope to be rid of that before my first 1/2 marathon at the end of April.

Congrats Techgirl - that's some majorly fast weight loss

I wish I could get that motivated - I would love to be 50# lighter by 4/21 - But it would take a heroic effort that I do not think I can do.

12 Miles this am with 3x (5 minutes hard / 5 minutes easy) at the end.

I am thinking this week and next of lighter speed work and then it will be time to step it up a notch.

Good Friday to all -

Thanks! I started with a 10 day master-cleanse and followed it up with a severely healthy modification to my diet. I stopped eating processed foods, sugar, table salt, caffeine, wheat and most red meat and I only drink water. As a result, I stopped craving foods and started dropping weight which I thought was going to be impossible now that I'm facing 40. But its actually coming off pretty rapidly.
Do you have a race on 4/21?

Exactly - I'm not that motivated to give up all that - Yet.

4/21 is Boston -

I think if all I did was drink H20 it would go a long way -

I've lost weight fast before - I just am not ready for that kindof pain and suffering - Once I lost 87# in 90 days to take home $350.

3.5 mile snowshoe "run" at lunch.

Snowshoe running is a complete crock, I can't believe people do that for fun. It has to be the most miserable method of "running" I've ever done. My gigantic mountaineering snowshoes probably didn't help matters...
