Hey gang, didn't run yet but I wanted to say a few things.

Sorry about the mess I made of yesterday's daily. Several people were talking about how it would be good to make a new thread out of some of the discussions and Millbot PM'ed me about it. I screwed it up, where it said copy thread it actually moved them (I think). Anyway....

It would be so much more beneficial to us all if good discussions were moved to a new thread as some folks just don't wade through every post on the daily and miss a lot of really good information.

There is a new forum for MultiSport!! So check that out, thanks Rich!

And you may have noticed an ad for RoadID, if you go to the site from that link it generates revenue for this site. I have one, do you?

Happy last Friday of 07

Good morning Boomers!

Hally, I guess you're right - whatever went on yesterday I totally missed.

JJJ - great milestone reaching 1800.

Does roadid do anything more than what my driver's license does. I carry that on my long runs.

Oh yeah, running - beautiful day today, low 30's clear sky. I made up a route (gotta love Garmin) that ended up being 6.6 miles (56:11 8:31 pace).

Good runs all,
Does your license have your emergency contact information, blood type, known allergies or medical conditions on it?
No, I didn't think so

I have one Hally and wear it religiously. When I drop with exhaustion I want my remains to make it back home efficiently

No run yet but I will get to it eventually. We are probably taking the girls to a movie today.

Nice mileage for the year JJJ!

Check back later,
Good morning.

Rough night last night. Most nights I sleep like a rock but once in a blue moon, I don't. Hate that.

I felt like I'd slipped into the Twilight Thread Zone yesterday. Hally, behave yourself today!

I never run with ID but I keep meaning to get one of those roadid things. Congrats on the 1800 miles TripleJay.

Rest day for me. Starting to get nervous about the 108 sun salutes on NY's Day. It's going to be brutal. (note to self: don't think about it - just remember to breath).

TW, sorry about "da back". I have similar issues from time to time; it sucks.

JJJ, that's some awesome mileage! Now, stay healthy in 2008.

I ran 4 miles on the TM this morning. I've been having some of the old hip bursitis tenderness lately, so am keeping things easy and fairly short. Oh, and I'm icing a lot; it's amazing how much that helps.

I gotta go to work for a little while this morning...good day all.

Hey JJJ, at first I thought, "1800 meters, what's the big deal?" Congratulations!

Good runs Peter (welcome back to double digits), Mike, ksrunr (nice pace for a long run!), Marie.

Oooh, sorry about your back, tomwhite. There are some small towns in the west where polygamy is overlooked.

I run with RoadID too.

I never run without roadid. With my families heart history, I think it's essential.

With JJJ posting his yearly milage, I think a thread next week on our 2007 miles would be interesting. Not for comparison, but to sum it all up, and see just how many miles this group ran in 2007.

Good morning to you all. Congrats, JJJ on the excellent cumulative distance! I'm incredibly impressed.

This is the first morning in over a week that I've woken up not feeling like total carp. So, despite lots of productive coughing, I took the dynamic duo on a 1 mile walk today and now we're all feeling better. Of course, it might have something to do with the antibiotics & the fact that I slept a total of 12 (yes, really) hours yesterday! In a few mins we're going to attack the house and get it cleaned up for the big birthday bash tomorrow. We have about 30 people coming, which means I need to take down the tree to make sure there's enough room for all of them. I think I'll leave up the rest of the decorations though.

DS took my car yesterday afternoon and still hasn't returned. He lives in Centre City Montreal and doesn't have his own car, so he's thrilled when he comes "home" and gets to drive my sporty little 5-speed. Hopefully he & the car will get home in one piece sometime today so he can help us clean. I haven't done any cleaning in a week and the house looks awful.

Beautiful sunny day here in NY, with temps about 45. It's a bit swampy with the melted snow but the dogs don't mind. I'll take them for another long walk later this afternoon. Wish I could run but that would be pushing it. Next week will be better.

Think of all the good luck you'll give to yourself by doing those salutations!
(any extra good luck, please share with the rest of us )
Mrs hup and I are signed up for the 2 hour New Year's Eve class ... I'm so out of yoga shape .... I'll never make midnight without a nap.

I'm waiting for a break in the rain to get out and do my 6 this morning. Once I get home I'll take the tree down and the lights off of the house.

This time off of work is strenuous

G'day
