Good morning everyone. I did not see a thread started yet, so I guess I am first to post.

5 miles in 44:39(8:56). It was an o.k. run this morning. Nice and slow.

BBS--I'd join you but it'd be a bit of a commute for me!

fuller--nice 5.

Nuthin' yet. Massage this morning. No injury, just uber tight from guarding. Will do a swim later today, maybe easy bike tomorrow, then attempt long run Sunday.

I didn't sleep well and my lower legs are really achy. Sounds like I need to take a rest day. It's all rather annoying as I'm not going to hit my mileage goal.

4boysmom - that reminds me, I need to schedule a massage. Have fun in the pool.

BBS - enjoy the rest and new shoe fever

kfuller - nice job on the 5'er

Morning all...

It looks like a little thaw is headed our way, high in the 40s, then maybe 50s for a few days. I'd love to see that.

It's still in the 30s right now but I'm actually considering the possibility of running outside - in shorts - today. I just need it to get over 40, that's my shorts/tights threshold. I haven't done that in about a month. That last time, it was sub-freezing and windy, but I was racing so I stripped down anyway.

RA/4BM - I second the massage. I got one last night and it did wonders for me.

BBS - have fun on the trails

hey TGIF peeps.

I had trouble posting this week, not sure what the issue but hoping it will work today.

HAWK - isnt it exciting about the weather?? I swear people in general are in a happy mood because of the weekend forecast. Next weekend it might event hit 60.

My runs this week were simple and slow. For some reason I have felt stiff and not sure why. It may be because it has been so dang cold out but looking forward to a weekend warm up.

This weekend will be first group run and my dilemma is should I take or not take the pup. I think since it is the first run I should leave her home but I may have to get the DH to take her for a ride in the car while I can get ready for the run. I would hate to see her get all excited only to be left behind. She knows my running routine and on the weekend she is especially looking for the clues.

BBS - I'll let you take the pup on the trails since your looking for a partner and I can't take her with me...... She has a great pace and doesn't talk much.

Afternoon run done. Yes, in shorts.

I had some pretty good steps in me today after resting yesterday, averaged 7:23/mile for 7, and it didn't feel the least bit hard. I'm pretty sure I did about 8:00 miles for the first 2, which means the next 5 went down around 7:00 pace. I don't know splits for sure though because I had a regular watch today, no Garmin. I just know the course is 7 because it's the loop near work I run all the time.

That sets me up well for the weekend. Tomorrow I'll run a 5k race with DW, pacing her. Then Sunday when the high hits 55, I'll go for 15.

Apple - you bet I'm excited about spring. As for the pets, they know. They always know. Good luck on the long run.

Greetings Kicksters.

Hawk, my shorts-tights threshold is a little higher -- 45 degrees. That seems so far away. But pretty soon it won't be.

Yeah, a massage sounds really nice. Hope you enjoyed it 4BM and RA.

Three miles today. Went pretty well. Was tempted, again, to tack on, but I don't want to get over-exuberant. I'm at 19 miles for the week and already it is the highest of the year.

Good runs, all
