Goot Morning, Kicklandia.

Hope holiday gatherings were more enjoale than stressful.

I ate well, but more moderately than in years past -until I got to the chocolate cake.

Today's run felt absolutely marvelous, 7 miles in just over 1:08 on a soggy quiet Creeper trail.

Seize and enjoy the day.

I heard the Zilla firing up all the way from TX JJ. Glad you had a good day.

I've been battling some kind of bug, probably from being a bit run down. One mile last Sunday and 2.2 yesterday and not feeling any better. I am going to head out and jog/walk a bit. Family coming over today for post-TG dinner. We had a ball yesterday at SpareTire's house. He deep fried a turkey and it was very good. Spareribs

Nice trail outing, JJJ!

Will go to the gym later this afternoon for a bit of strength/core stuff and am going to give the lower bits another day off tomorrow as there's a big storm headed our way ...........and I only need to run one day this weekend to get the week's allotment of miles in.

They're predicting ~ a foot of snow just a bit north of us, starting tonight. Promises to be a bit dicey for the Creemore Horizontal 100 miler scheduled to start early in the morning. A couple of my friends were planning to be there.... her for her first attempt at 100 miles and her hubby to pace her thru the night. She's just started ultramarathons this year and did her first 50 miler in September. He's a road marathoner with minimal trail experience. I really, really hope they're going to be smart about this........... but I have a bad feeling!

3 miles easy. Feel better soon, Ribs. Still stuffing myself with stuffing and, of course, a beer or two. Roll on Crimson Tide and hard to believe but we were rooting for the Longhorns last night.

I think that all those hills I ran is really paying off. It is too bad I don't have a smaller race to do.

Ribs, I missed you. Feel better soon , frend.

14 miles, 8:26 pace. Just an ok run. Ran faster than necessary and was tired at the end. Yesterday's frivolity probably didn't help. Then I got every g.d. leaf left to rake off the lawn. Looks spotless. Now if neighbor to the west would only cooperate...

Congratulations to the racers yesterday. Robin, you're consistent! I think you're only just beginning your comeback, so I see that as a good sign.

Sounds like some good eatin' yesterday, esp Johnny's fare and JJ's chocolate cake! Deep-fried turkey sounds just so wrong!

Okay, so it's an okay run, irun. Looks good to me. My apartment neighbours across the street have that "spotless" look and it drives me crazy because the gardener uses a leaf blower! Noisy, gassy, awful things. Glad you use a rake. Bet tomwhite is too. We know how he loves raking!

Glad you got your deals, mari. You're brave!

GL to your friends, Heme. Sounds like she could use you as a pacer for a bit! Weather does look a bit flaky.

I've missed a few days around here I think. Nice run for irunmike. I don't have to rake leaves anymore. We're into shoveling snow these days.

Heme, sounds like DH has a fun evening in mind. Hope the weather is ok for your friends' run. That's a serious undertaking in GOOD conditions!

Had more snow come down yesterday and today. I am already tired of winter. Bad sign when I know there's a few more months of this stuff ahead. After next weekend's marathon, I plan on becoming a wee bit more slothlike. I'm sure I'll revel in that for about... oh... 3-4 days and then I'll get all antsy again. But it'll be nice knowing there's no mileage quota I have to meet.

5.6 miles of hills on our snowy neighborhood roads. Felt good to get outside. Been on the treadmill far too much already this season.

Hi Everyone! Sounds like many nice thanksgiving meals and gatherings were had.

I had a nice visit with my brother yesterday and today. He leaves for MN at 6 a.m. tomorrow. time goes so quickly.

David and I ran in the Turkey Trot yesterday. It was very very cold - maybe mid 20's and DS was quite miserable and did not have a good time. He went out too fast but I caught up to him at about mile 1 and he was slowing down and I could tell he just wanted to stop, but he kept at it. He didn't do as well as last year where he ran a 15:29. This year was a 17:10.

I ran a bit better than last year. 16:20 compared to last years 16:59. My first mile was good: 7.53 and I was feeling like I could have kept that pace for my 2nd mile also, but once I caught up to DS, I was torn with slowing down to his pace or just keep going and see what I could do. I ran with him for a bit and tried to pep him up. wasn't working. My 2nd mile was 8.13. I ended up 5/15 for my AG, so I'm happy with that.

Today was a pretty lazy day for us. Can't even think of a single thing I really did, except some laundry.

I had a lovely morning with Ma Econo and The Judge Sister Econo at a teeeeny tiny 5K Turkey Trot. Ma jogged the whole way, but was beaten by TJSE, who walked the whole way. Ma Econo told me mid-race (out 'n back) to "pass Rachel" (her friend), so...being the dutiful daughter, I complied.

Little did I know that this "Rachel" was the 1st female. Since I passed her, then I had to go even faster to justify being so rude. heh. My first 1F!!!! With an embarrassing time of 27:17.

Mile 1 9:32 (warm-up, I guess)

Mile 2 8:48

Last 1.11 miles 8:58

Everything hurts now. Back to ice and the elliptical this week.
