Absolutely nothign today. Am very excited for the state meet tomorrow. I'll get to trot around on the course and cheer on friends I know from all over the state. Should be a really good time if the weather is half decent.

Have an awesome start to the weekend!

8 easy miles for me this morning in the drizzling rain. It was 50°F which made things fairly comfortable and I wore my new running shirt from this year's Columbia Half-Marathon. Since I'm behind on my desired mileage for the next week, I'm considering doing a double today and tomorrow. We'll see how things go. Good running all.

Have fun, Alex!

Good luck tomorrow, wanderingoutlaw.

I had a great cut-back week long run today of 14 miles in 2:03. Miles 2-12 were marathon pace. Because we are still having 90% humidity and 70 degrees, I decided to run on the treadmill because I was not sure I could maintain marathon pace for 10 miles outside in those conditions. Two women I run with occasionally came to do their runs this morning too, so I had someone to talk to from mile 3 on and was able to talk pretty easily throughout the workout. It felt a bit more challenging, but I really did not even notice the effort much and the time flew by. I really think the more I get myself out of my head, the better I run. My hamstrings were a little sore at mile 7 of the MP portion, but even that subsided. No foot issues at all today -- yay!

Great running out there everyone. Had a great time wandering around in the woods with my coach to put out some more apples and bring another chair up to the deer stand. Funny how I won't be hunting yet I've done an enormous part of the work out there. It's so peaceful just staring out into the woods... I think this winter I'm going to do some snowshoeing out there so that will be cool.
