Have a good race Rip and Happyfeat.

down to 59 degrees this morning but running partner said 54 at his house. With 23 mph North winds; it felt a bit cool for us thin blooded S. TX'ns.

10 moh at 7:51 avg pace.

Took an antique sewing machine apart a few months ago and took the metal parts to a powder coater. They were to blast and powder coat to an antique black. Well they've finally finished and I'm to pick it up today. Problem is that they had it so long; I don't know if I remember how to put it back together.

Nice run KS

I can't even remember how to change the time on my car radios and have to get on the internet for instructions. Maybe you can do the same on your sewing machine.

Down to 30° last night here and only 33° right now. I'm going to finish siding a garage today but I'll have to wait a little bit for it to warm up so the siding doesn't crack when I cut it.

The soreness finally went away from the trail run sunday so I may run a little today. Probably be on the treadmill this evening.

Hi KS! Hi Rip!

Peace out, Roly! Have fun on Mt. Trembant!

Good question, TW.... where the heck has Johnny been????

Will probably spend some time in the gym this afternoon and get back at the core and hip strengthening, but not so much as to make me sore for Sunday. Was asked by a friend (serious competitive cyclist) this morning if I was "ready" for this next race. Got an odd look when I said I didn't care about the results, was just doing this for fun, a chance to see some friends and get a cool shirt.

Enjoy the racing this weekend, HappyFeat and DiscoDan!!!

Hi Heme TW and Bob

I changed my plans after I posted earlier and did my run this morning. I also felt pretty good and ended up doing 11.5 miles on the treadmill.

I'll be getting in a bunch of uncounted miles tomorrow morning when I watch our high school teams at the regional xc meet. To see the mile, two mile and finish, you have to run about

a mile each race and there are 6 races. I may wear my garmin all day to see how much I do run. Supposed to be near freezing and raining so I will be bundled up in winter gear.

Wow Bob, nice TM run. Mine was last night. 11 miles at 8:25 average, but with half mile repeats thrown in there. Impressive that you do 6 miles straight at 8 m/m right in the middle. Do you have the incline at 1%?

My run last night:

1.5 miles @ 8:49

1.5 miles @ 8:34

3 x .5 mile @ 8:00; recoveries of .25 mile @ 8:49

3 x .5 mile @ 7:30, recoveries of .25 mile @ 8:49

3.5 miles @ 8:34

11 miles total, 1:32:something. Those last few miles felt like an effort. Not hard really, I just wanted to get off. Starting a run like that at 6 pm is just hard, even though I like late running.

Tonight I'll probably be back on the treadmill, but I really should get outside. Don't want that TM to become a habit. Meh, maybe tomorrow. We'll be colder this week (sub-zero forecast for the first time this season!), but the running conditions should be pretty good. Just 5 or so miles tonight, easy if I can.

Signed up for White Rock today...

ETA: Rip, we posted at the same time! I'm sure your 11+ miles on the 'mill were much faster than mine. Enjoy the races tomorrow, hope it doesn't rain (too much).

thanks for the encouraging words Evan. Your 11 miles of repeats, now THAT's a solid workout!
No incline the last two weeks - I'm trying to increase both speed and distance, which I think is reasonable as long as I continue to lose weight, but only if I avoid introducing additional stress during this time.
