Greetings, all. 5m on the hamster wheel last night. Today bi/tri/thigh/core/butt stuff is on tap, and although today should be a rest day for the legs, I'm thinking of getting just a few miles in, to make up for missing Tuesday's run. I figure 3-4 more shouldn't hurt at this point.

I ran a bit over 5 last night. It was 33 degrees and the stars were shining. But I felt sluggish and slow. Very disappointing. So I decided to sleep in until 6 this morning. I will run tonight after work - hopefully outside. I did arm weights this morning.

Holy vertigo Amichel!!!!

8.4 miles with 4x10 minute tempo pace. Hit my paces perfectly: 8:46, 8:45, 8:48, 8:46. And especially pleased because most of that was into a pretty stiff wind.

Morning/afternoon folks!

Great job thus far folks!

30 minutes of fast walking on the dreadmill last night. I give all of you who run on those things during the winter all the credit in the world. I hate it. Plus it changes my stride enough that I hit harder than normal on my heels and it just kills my disc in my neck. I hurt more after that 30 minutes than after I finished the HM in Houston.

Short bike ride tonight in preparation for the Tour De Cure ride in the morning. Havent been on the bike in a while, just want to make sure everything is in working order mechanicaly.

Will start back up with running on Monday.

Rarely do I sit on the ball all day, usually a half a day. And when I first started it was an hour or so at a time. It's way fun to bounce on it while doing work I'd highly recommend it!

Dh blew up my ball this morning and it seems a little lower than what will be comfortable at my computer. I'm going to check into getting a slightly bigger one. But I def want to do this.

I've got 22 road miles in the morning and then perhaps 9 - 10 trail miles on Sunday. It's only 8 days until my trail 50K. I was just looking at the course elevation and it's a hairy beast! :0

That is a lot of laps Amy! I'd go crazy!

Jeez, they just sent link to the Little Rock photos. I was scowling in every one of them. Oh and the finishers video they sent shows a visually impaired runner, being led by his guide, zipping by me and then me hobbling over the finish line. Uggggggg! (BTW, running a marathon when you can see is hard enough, but to run it without sight deserves big props!)

I really miss sitting on a Fitness Orb. I sat on one all day every day at job in Wisconsin, before we moved here. But apparently, this corporation does not approve or condone such sitting arrangements. :(
Yikes! That's some crazy good work. The most I've done is 7 miles on our indoor track (it's 14 laps per mile) so I can relate.

BTW, I did manage to get a solid 12 miles in yesterday in spite of the wind and the cold grey weather. feeling kinda tired today.

Holy schnikies Tim, that's a lot of elevation gain and loss!!!! How are you feeling about the race? You'll have that under your belt a week before my 50K, I hope the tales you come back reporting are all good.

Amy - how on earth did you keep track of the laps?

Best snack ever - barley with a bit of almond butter & warmed up. DELICIOUS!!!

Yeah Tim, that doesn't look like fun. I think you and Maria both have more work cut out for your 50ks than I do for mine...

I just looked at my pics. They got a bunch of shot of me taking BobCam pictures of myself at the finish line. And there's video of that too. Pretty funny.

3 miles this morning. I've run everyday so far this week and today I was feeling it. Legs were a bit dead. But I feel like I'm on such a good roll, don't want to stop just yet!

It's supposed to be rainy, windy and mild tomorrow. And mild again on sunday. I'm so wearing shorts if that's true!

The crew will do Kellys Mountain on sunday followed by brunch.

I signed up for my free 4 month membership at the Y today. I won it a couple of weeks ago at an auction. Spun a wheel for $5, won the membership! I can't wait to start trying some classes!
