Morning kickstars.

10 miles along the bay front this morning. 93 heat index at 6 a.m. this morning. jtwili Watch battery wasn't charged enough and it gave up at mile 1. So it was untimed which is just fine. Only ran 20 miles this week in 3 runs. Can't remember when I've run so little in a week or even for a month. Have to start getting back into the groove next week.

Running a 4 mile race Monday but am just going to run it based on how I feel. I have lost fitness over the last 6 weeks due to this heat and training. So I'm not ready to race it. I'm going to run slow enough to enjoy it and run with a different crowd.

Mike sorry to hear about your car. You need to take it back and tell them it's a lemon and get another. Change your luck?

What's up all?

Hi all....welcome back Ks....we were floundering without you.............any good camp stories to share??

Nice wildlife run Heme...you & rip certainly have some low RHR's!!! at best, mine is somewhere in the low to mid 50's.

Went into town and ran 11.6 miles 1st half mostly downhill, 2nd half mostly uphill. Since most of my running is in the woods, on trail, under canopy, even 75-80°F on asphalt with no shade raises my HR from 125-130 to over 140 for the same effort. Well, that's my excuse anyway.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting Fortunate One. He has family in Portland & down in my area as well. Got to visit for an hour and half or so. Seemed like 15 minutes. He even has a better Hal Koerner (our local elite ultra runner) story than I do. Like the rest of the "invisible people" from here, RA, or CR I've met, he's great in person. Hope to get a chance to see him again. Maybe he'll let me be one of his pacers, when he gets selected for WS100.

Hi TW

ETA: Hey Orange Mat......I've heard NJ described as a jungle before (amongst other things), but this may be taking it to an extreme

Good morning again all 4 miles in the woods, 50°F & shade, much more to my liking...actually got to the turnaround in less than 20 minutes, considering its almost all uphill and I usually jog the 1st mile as a warmup, I must of been flying (well, by my standards of flying anyway)

Nice hat HappyFeat and even nicer run for you yesterday. Are you training for something??

Nice run for you too Orange Mat....You keep improving all the time, I still don't think you've really tapped into your potential yet.....remember when you were hesitant about even racing a 5K??

What's up with everyone??? Mrs. Johnny & I are going on a little hike in a few minutes and then off to the movies. She wants to see the Tom Hanks / Julia Roberts movie. I just tag along.
