Hey gang - just wanted to give you some feedback on our advertising/merchandising efforts. Initial results of the Road ID has generated about $47.00 in revenue (goal is 100 a month).<br><br>
Amazon.com : $1.00 in revenue<br><br>
Store - $0.00 in revenue.<br><br>
Value Click - this month - $1.87<br><br>
With ads only on the front page - we need to find a way to promote the store and see if we can get members to start purchasing.<br><br><br>
Perhaps a contest? within your forums? First forum member to buy AND POST a picture of Kickrunner.com merchandise Gets Special Title Access!<br><br>
IF the winner already has that access, then we will DOUBLE their PM Capacity.<br><br><br>
Will this work? Can you guys promote this? One winner from EACH FORUM!<br><br><br>
Lets create some competition and excitement and try to sell some merchandise to keep our site up and free!<br><br><br>

I like the idea but it sounds a little too obvious, plus I don't think anyone is just a expo person.<br><br>
I think we should really encourage the T-shirts for the meet ups?

yes, seems like a bunch of kickrunners are looking into the shirts for Umstead in April. How is road id working?

It's INTENDED to be obvious. Remind them of the commitment to limit costs and not to load forum with ads etc....<br><br><br>
The only ad that is paying is Road ID and that has stopped - as expected... A surge until we get discussion around it - it'll start again.<br><br><br>
If we need to create additional product to drive some 'regular' purchases - beyond meetups, then let's do that too..<br><br>
$100 a month is what it costs - Running log development approaching $2500 total...<br><br>
any advise you have to offer or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Set up a time frame-- 2 weeks, 3 weeks, a month.<br>
"Design a shirt, use existing logo and go with that or create your own"<br>
Entries must be submitted as certain files for zazzle.com<br>
You can upload each design into Zazzle and see how it looks on a shirt<br>
take this image and make people vote on their favorites. then narrow it down until there is a winner. Winner gets free shirt and bragging rights.<br><br>
btw, the cookbook is SLOW cause we do not have enough recipes in the book <img alt="sad.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/sad.gif"> I posted a few times asking for recipes. I was going to give it a few more weeks, compile the rest and then post what else we need for the book.<br><br>
OH! and i saw a new ad. Not bad. It moves, but is not obscene.

on the ad.. yeah, there's some movement - but I think I need to switch up the banners every couple of weeks. I HOPE I can find some static ones but until then, I gotta go with what I can get. I am limiting them to runner specific products though
