I'll add to wj's endorsement. This is <i>definitely</i> worth the short trip from Eugene!

DITTO! I would love to do something like this, but I am not sure I'll be in Eugene by noon. Could be, but might be closer to 12:30 or 1:00. Plus, I don't think drinking wine the afternoon before my marathon would be in my best interests . . . maybe for my 2nd marathon, but not my first. . . .

WJ, I am a wine-appreciation novice (plenty of experience dfrinking the stuff, none describing what I taste) who doesn't want to foul up her first 'thon. But it sounds very tempting. Let me check with my chaperone and get back to you.

I guess I should let you all know that I'm sure not going to be "drinkin" the day before the marathon, most likely a glass with lunch. The reason I picked this place for lunch is for the beautiful, picturesque location. Plus the food is awesome. Remember this also, this is a serious race for Bettylou and I'm not the guy who's gonna get her looped up the day before the race. WE MASTERS DON'T ALWAYS HAVE TO BE DRUNK TO ENJOY EACH OTHERS COMPANY.....but maybe it helps...

<span style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="font-size:small;">Wal-Mart announced that, sometime in 2008, it will begin offering customers a new discount item... Wal-Mart's own brand of wine. The world's largest retail chain is rumored to be teaming up with Ernest & Julio Gallo Winery of California to produce the spirits at an affordable price -- in the $2 to$5 range.</span></span><br><div style="text-align:left;"><br><span style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="font-size:small;">Wine connoisseurs may not be inclined to put a bottle of Wal-Mart brand into their shopping carts, but "there is a market for inexpensive wine," said Kathy Micken, professor of marketing at University of Arkansas , Bentonville. "However, branding will be very important."</span></span><br><br><span style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="font-size:small;">Customer surveys were conducted to determine the most attractive name for the Wal-Mart wine brand. Wine, we are thinking about coming to lunch too. When do you need to have a confirmation?

Winejunky, thanks for clarifying that this won't be a drinkfest because I'd love to attend and driving down Friday afternoon so I could make it, too. But, I think a friend is accompanying me now to Eugene, is there room for two?
