foot taping for PF

I've been battling PF for about 3 months now. I posted 5 weeks ago that I thought I had it licked. Well, I was wrong. Ugh.

BUT I found something that I think is going to be very helpful and I wanted to pass it along: foot taping

http://www.nismat.org/traincor/pl_fasciitis.html

I've been doing it for 2 days and I've been pain free for the first time in months. I know it won't work for everyone, and I'm still stretching, and wearing insoles, and taking Motrin, etc. but I thought I'd pass this along. It's cheap, easy and it may work.

I've seen a number of taping methods....... I think you need to be careful trying to train with some of them.... I have not tried the one in your link Roadie Gal, but it looks pretty aggressive. I believe the Low-Dye method is the best if you're going to continue to train. Here's another method that's very aggressive in immobilizing the plantar fascia...... http://heelspurs.com/my_pics.html , which will allow it to heal faster, but it will put more strain on the Achilles tendon and calf muscle......not a good one to use for training.
