Ok...Sheldawg gave me permission to do this on the 6th...it will give me a chance to play with Miguel on a flatter course prior to GCT.

Anyone from here game? I'm doing the Sunday ride.

http://www.cccyclists.org/TOSRV_2008.php

On Saturday me and 2 girlfriends (Who will also be racing GCT) will be swimming in the gulf...where's a good place to swim.

We can always hit PCB...but I'd like to find something closer...

We thought maybe St. Mark's?
http://www.fws.gov/saintmarks/

Where is good to swim in this area? Or near it? Is the water brackish?

Water in the gulf is salt.

I don't know the answer so i can't help with the swim. I can tell you that the critter count is very HIGH so make sure you wash off well when you get out of the water.

Oh...and I think you should come up for the ride...I need someone to yell at me along the way. or to draft from.

If you're extra nice I'll let you ride Miguel.

Speaking of which remind me to call the bike shop about the cog.

Sea lice, man-o-war, Jellies, all high. If you came here you could swim with the sharks. They are on their yearly migration north. You can literally sit on the beach and watch them swim by, or hit the water and swim with them, if you dare.

Your part of the sea lice food chain for sure. good thing is all you have to do is shower off after the swima nd your fine. Make sure you wash the areas that have a tight fitting, like the legs of your bathing suit.

Sharks on the other hand are a different kind of critter. We are not ont he their food chain, but they do sometimes get confused an take a bite, just to taste.

Sherry, if your coming down, let me know when and we sure will have a clinic. Remember hurricane season is the first of June through the end of November, so if you here and the wind picks up, you might want to cut the clinic short and head home. I live a mile form the ocean so if a storm comes, I have to evacuate anyway. Maybe I'll come stay with you.

I question your methods. You take out your chopsticks and kill a fly.

Then somehow I win IMLP.

If I could get you to win IMLP, I'd be waxing my own car.

5 hours on th trainer during a cane is no fun. No power means cold showers, IF the water is working. No power means PB+J sammiches and the stench of rotten food in the garbage can.

All that is dependant on actually not having your house blow away. Which it could. Hurrcanes are some scary shit. The wind howls for hours and stuff breaks all around and slams into the house. The pressure drops and your ears pop. It's not fun. No sir.

Ummmm. If there's a hurricane you, Lucy and your babies can drive FOREVER and stay at my house. I have a fenced in yard.

Then Lucy and I can do girlie stuff while I let you mow my lawn.

or just keep driving to MA, we're generally pretty safe from 'canes here. I will let you ride up and down and up and down our hills as practice for IMLP.
