Dangit. I forgot core work last night. Again. >< Grrr. Tomorrow I'll be working at home, so hopefully I"ll get core + weights done in the morning.

I'll run some number of miles on the TM tonight. Distance/speed will be adjusted based on how hard a basic run is after blood donation.

Little miss evil for me this morning. Need to rework the schedule a bit to make sure I get everything in with the travel. It should be an easy switch around, I think. The trainer gave me some homemade goodies for Christmas and called it "job security" :)

Morning Gang -

Way to get the tempo run done on the TM Mindi! I couldn't do that. Nice work!

Sounds like lots of us are juggling things around to get the workouts in around other holiday stuff.

I got 8 miles done around and around the hood this morning. The footing is still greasy. Uggg. I did manage to do it at a decent pace (9:00), but the effort felt like they were MP miles. Yesterday the footing was so sucky that my pace was like 10:50. Hope the plows come back through one more time today.

Oh - someone dropped off holiday goodies for me, so I now have some chocolate at work. Yipee!

Good runs to all today!

Good Morning!

Hey, I did the same thing as Mindi! On the roads, though. 3 easy, 4 "tempo" 6:44 (I was hoping to be around 6:30, but it's a start and should be much easier next time around), 2 easy. It was okay, coach only thought under 7, I was hoping under 6:30...ended up splitting the difference. My leg is feeling all numb and weak, so I'm pleased that it went as well as it did. Getting back into shape is quite the journey this go around.

Nice job, RIL! Be careful out there, RFTL!

Jen, your post cracked me up. Only you would think 4 miles at 6:44 pace was out of shape.

Another good TM run for me last night, but mine was just 4 miles. And nowhere near a 6:44 pace! (8:20ish overall... I started at 8:34 and worked my way down to 8:06 by the end.)

Amichel, your trainer is evil! That's not fair for her to do. Are they healthy goodies, at least?

5.3 miles this afternoon. Got just enough snow last night to make things a bit interesting. Just ran a bit in the street. Ever have one of those runs that it feels like you're crawling along? Yep, that was me this afternoon. Legs felt like lead, stomach was a bit off, felt like I was barely moving. Look down at my garmin and I'm at 9:50 pace. Could. Not. Believe. It.

So I got that going for me.

I got nuthin', but maybe later tonight I'll try for 2-3 just to see how I am. I've had vertigo again...the rocks in my noggin type.

This has been the fall of illin'Craney. Acid reflux, veritgo, bronchitis. I am falling apart. Bah. However, I'm also down a few lbs because of it...so I'll take it!

Oh! speaking of that! Original Sherpa has lost almost 20 lbs with a much improved diet and exercise. People have been asking him how he's doing it and he said, "Well, it's hard work, but easier when you have a runner in the house to inspire you to get to it every day."

Yay, him! Yay that I am inspiring!! :D

Nice tempo runs, cores, butt tapes and snowy plow throughs. I pass the "you're my inspiration" baton back to you all.

yes, you are.

and this further proof of the validity of the law of the conservation of mass. since mass can be neither created nor destroyed, i seem to be the lucky recipient of this mass. hopefully one of these days, i can stop being a team player and shake it off to another lucky recipient. i have the sinking feeling that this fluff is going to be with me for a little while though. whatever...tis the season. pass me some 'nog!

some gym work for me today including a swim of 550 slow, breathless yards. i felt like i was trawling the bottom of the pool.

I'm still feeling under the weather, but I got out for about 6 miles tonight with my sister at the group run.

Hang in there, 2oh. Believe me, I know how you (physically, and mentally to an extent) are feeling. Hugs to you. (Not that hugs help, but they're fun.)

4 miles on the treadmill tonight. I need to find a better power cord. The one that came with the tm gets squished as the deck bounces when I run with incline set to 0 and eventually works itself loose. If I set the incline for 2 then I don't seem to be chunky enough to compress it that far and everything is coolio. I'll have to scout around my office at work to see what I have with a 90 degree angle.

Yay for Sherpa! Very cool.
