I'm not sure if I consider this a real triathlon but it is my first attempt. The event consists of a 30 min swim followed by a 30 min ride on a stationary bike followed by a 30 min treadmill run. There is a 5 min "transition time" in between events.<br>
My goals:<br>
Swim- 1250-1300 yds I did 1200 as part of the postal swim.<br>
Bike- Average 18.5 mph. The bikes are PreCor which are pretty tough. If the event were on my trainer I would try for close to 20mph.<br>
Run-3.5 miles. This is a soft goal I think I can go a little faster but I'm not sure how fatigued I will be after the first two events. The 5 min transition should help. Typically I have a >1min transition on my bike to treadmill workouts.<br>
I just wanted to get my goals out there to make myself accountable! Report to follow in 2 weeks.
